Howlite is a high ranked soldier, loyal to White Diamond. She serves in a spy/assassin type role and as a result, is also a master of disguises. This is especially prominent considering her skin looks cracked - leading one to think she's a weak gem when that's the opposite of the truth. Some abilities of hers include super speed, summoning grappling hooks + summoning claw-like fist weapons. She's also a dyed howlite, of which three exist - one dyed in the colour of each Diamond besides white. Howlite is dyed in honour of Blue Diamond, but her sisters are dyed Yellow and Pink accordingly, and also serve in assassin/spy type roles. Each sister has a specialty, however - for example, Blue specializes in infiltrating in diplomatic events, having a particularly impressive impersonation of the gem Turquoise. While generally logical and calm, Howlite has a secret emotional side, much like Blue Diamond.Likes

Summary
As a special gem created by White Diamond, Howlite emerged out of the Kindergarten with her two 'siblings', Sunglow and Cerise, and then promptly deemed their squadron leader. As an Era One gem, she and her sisters have braced through many wars, and usually have been involved in them for intel and espionage purposes. Though she isn't as powerful as Era Two Howlite that are manufactured across colonies today, she outmatches them in terms of her knowledge and experience, which is why she and her sisters are still considered useful on Homeworld. As of late, Howlite and her sisters have attended to duties on Homeworld and rooting out rumoured traitors through their unique impersonation of gems from various courts.

• Howlite's abilities stem from the fact the crystal Howlite is often dyed and used as a cheap decoy for Turquoise in many gem markets.
• Howlite's gem was made to look fractured on purpose, which can attract the scrutiny of other gems for being imperfect. Whether this was because it helps her disguise herself as weak in a tough spot during infilitration missions, or because White Diamond thought it would be interesting, is yet to be discovered.
• Her abilities include super speed, summoning grappling hooks/claw-like fist weapons, holding disguises for longer periods of time
• She has two sisters: Yellow Dyed Howlite (Sunglow) and Pink Dyed Howlite (Cerise) who are dyed in honour of Yellow Diamond and Pink Diamond respectively.
• She and her sisters jointly own a squadron ship called The Moonbeam.
