Biography
Ariadne studied the existence of other planes a lot as a child in magical grade school and the strong picture in her head of the 5 known planes of existence and the possible multidimensional paths through it eventually allowed her to awaken as a magic user, something she took advantage of to create portals from home to school.
After she became an adult, she caught wind of a power long thought to be just a myth: the Akashic Records. Said to be a force that resides in purgatory that contains all knowledge of the universe, past, present, and future; anyone who gained control of it would become literally omniscient and also able to perceive the true nature of reality. She's formed a cult of humans, and trained them in magic. Hiding the true nature of the world from them allowed her to manipulate them and trick them into thinking that she's the avatar of a fictional "Spider God of Knowledge." Eventually, Webber caught wind of the cult and reluctantly joined Amvira's team in person to try and stop her.
The size of her cult allowed her to perform very powerful and expensive rituals, allowing her to create a portal to purgatory, and a link from her to the akashic records, whereupon she learned that it was not a unique power but rather the Power of Knowledge; one of 6 powers of God. She began to attune to this power, becoming the embodiment of knowledge, and gaining divinity. However, she was killed by Amvira and allies before she could fully attune to the powers and gain Absolute Omniscience.

Post ascension, she's a mindfuck boss: capable of screwing around with the game interface, moving during other people's turns, and attacking the cursor directly. Should you take too long to win, she gains true omniscience and you lose by default. |
