He alone has the key, the key that opens the gates.
Hailing from the realm of the Aetherworld, a land with demi-mortals, Altair has been raised with a sole purpose: to protect the key that unlocks the gate to another realm, by hiding in the realm of mortals and away from those who would seek to use it. Stern but noble, Altair has only begun to take up this duty in a world unfamiliar to him, with no turning back. In his homeland, Altair is a prodigy of warriors, blessed with a unique role. To the mortal world, Altair is a cryptic outsider from a foreign land - one best stayed away from, at least for the time being.
He knows his duty must be to protect the key - but there's something egging him to go beyond those boundaries, to enter the affairs of the mortal world and discover just what their purpose is.

Summary
A warrior and protector of the gates to another realm, the Aetherworld. Altair carries the only key to opening it, destined by an Aetherian prophecy to be its guard until the end of time as a precaution, after a succession of wars between mortals and Aetherians for power. He was born in the Aetherworld, raised by celestial dragons and unicorns alike - demi-mortals who have a much longer lifespan than the world Altair has been made to reside in. Duty has been drilled into him since birth, and even now, as he stares through the other side of the gates, hoping to catch a glimpse of the world he once knew. But even though he knows he must uphold his journey, sometimes he finds his task unbearably quaint - and wonders if it would be too much for him to at least see what the mortal world has to offer.
Design
• Altair's fire is blue and shimmers like stardust!
• He can be drawn in both a feral and anthro form.
Trivia
• As one born in the Aetherworld, Altair has the ability to manipulate celestial fire to his will. This particular fire has magical properties, it can cleanse the undead and even heal if used in the right manner. it can even teleport him short distances.
• He hoards crystals and the shards of meteorites/comets.
• Altair has a deep, rich voice.
• Altair used to be a revamp of a revamp of a fursona I had when I was very young!
