Profile

An assassin that masquerades as a detective to cover his own tracks.
Will you discover his secret? Or will you find yourself staring at the end of his gun?

As any story goes, Frederick grew up happy. His parents loved him and they all spent every waking moment together. And just as these stories go, death came too quickly. His father became ill. Severely ill. He passed away shortly after, and the grief accelerated his mother's issues until she herself passed, leaving Frederick to his aunt.

Mia was a distant one, clearly not used to having to raise a teen. He didn't seem to want the care, anyway, keeping to himself and barely leaving his room. It worked for Mia, as her job sent her out for days on end. One day, though, she decided to bring him with her. His emptiness, in her opinion, held potential.
They went to a secluded area and she pulled her gloves off, somehow pulling a sniper rifle out of them like some kind of magician. Without even looking at her nephew's bewildered expression, Mia explained three things to him:

1.) Her gloves held some kind of magic/alchemy that could pull guns out.

2.) She was an assassin known as the Nightingale.

3.) He would be her successor.

And with that all said, she aimed her rifle and fired at her target right in front of him.

It was a startling revelation, but one Frederick didn't have the luxury to linger on. A few months later they went to a spot where a runaway gangster was. Mia struck him down, but the gangster's son was able to fire back at her. She was gone, and Frederick no longer had a choice.

It seemed like ages ago that he and his parents would talk about their next vacation; ages since he'd last smiled. Now, at his aunt's funeral, he became cold and distant...
Wearing her black gloves, and disappearing for days on end.

Notes: Ace Attorney is my favorite video game of all time. I can still recount the plenty of moments where I'd read and suddenly realize who the real culprit is and be so shocked. You probably won't believe it, but Frederick was inspired by the game! Don't get me wrong, Gumshoe's cool, but I wanted an even cooler detective. I also thought of what it'd be like if the person helping you ended up being the killer (this is before Dual Destinies). And so Frederick and his cliche story was born!
He ended up becoming cooler than I thought, with his steeled gaze and his stubborn refusal to let people delude themselves in RPs. He's my tall pride and joy!

Facts:

Full Name: Frederick Austin Waltz

Nicknames: Fred, Freddy, Detective Waltz

Age: 30

Birthday: July 2

Sexuality: Homosexual

Hair/Eye Color: Ink Black/Dark Blue

Height: 6'9"

Weight: 193 Ibs

Occupation: Detective/Assassin

Personality: A man of few words, Frederick is every bit as cold as he appears. He rarely shows any expressions, and doesn't often talk to people. He can't stand ditzy, bubbly energy. He's lived a long time alone, but is comfortable with the solitude and would rather sit in silence with someone than force an awkward conversation.
When in a relationship with him, the walls will slowly come down. He's touch-starved and not used to being around a family.

Non-human Weapons:

Gloves - A precious item obtained by his aunt, surprisingly fits even his large hands, though that could be an effect from the alchemy. When removing them, he can pull out a firearm from it. One glove can conjure a handgun, but pulling both gloves off at the same time can bring out large weapons like rifles or even a machine gun (there's a slip in both gloves that, when unlatched, lets him remove them at the same time). Each firearm has full ammo, and putting the gloves back on will cause them to disappear. He never removes those gloves. Well... rarely does, anyway.

Voice: A deep bass; Richard Epcar (Beginning Voice)

Drawing Details: Always has a scowl on his face and usually has the gloves on. Otherwise it doesn't matter what he's wearing. He prefers his suit and a long overcoat, though.

Fun/Extra Facts:

- Became a detective merely to cover his tracks. His full title is Head Detective in charge of Homicides, though he focuses on the Nightingale case. Whenever he's on a hit, he does well to cover himself, but the detective part often helps.

- He's nearsighted.

- A skilled hacker. A virus he created can freeze his targets' devices and serves as a type of calling card.

- Capable of a variety of killing methods. Doesn't have a limit on age for targets.

- Born in Manhattan.

- A poolshark.

- Can play piano and violin (rusty at both).

- Top, top, top. Will never even humor being a bottom.

- Was short in high school.

- Enjoys sports. Football and basketball are his favorites.

- Most likely to vape rather than smoke. Also loves techno/dubstep music but will never admit it. May secretly be a hipster.

- Hates oranges. Hates them so much. Bought orange-scented body wash and shampoo in hopes that smelling it enough would make them tolerable for him. It didn't work.

- Ambidextrous; a master at forgery as well as a master of disguise. You've probably walked past him plenty of times without recognizing him.

- Has interrogated many copycat killers and people claiming to be the Nightingale.

- A happy drunk; he'll break out into big grins and become talkative when under the influence. Very easy to get him to sing karaoke or get him to laugh.

- Married to Ethan.
