Isobel

Physical Description: Isobel's build is similar to a bongo, although somewhat leaner. Her markings resemble that of a lionfish; she has frills adorning the sides of her face. When agitated or excited, those frills will stand in the air (similar to the Spitter in Jurassic Park).
Along her spine are three quills which, if touched, will inject poison. Two have been ripped out by Isobel; it is unknown if they will ever grow back.
Isobel is capable of hissing and making raptor-like noises. Her teeth are similar to an African Cape Fox's. Her bite can be venomous; depending on the severity of the bite and the toxicity it can make the recipient very sick and in some cases, die. Her venom is similar to a lionfish's. It's mostly used to hunt.
Isobel is an oppurtunistic omnivore. She will eat plants but does prefer meat in most occasions. She is not above eating carrion. When she hunts, she delivers a powerful venomous bite to her prey, killing it quickly. For larger prey she reacts similar to a komodo dragon: bite, infect, and wait for the posion to take effect and fell the prey.
Isobel was originally created to tamper with souls. She still has that ability but has never used it; she's never had a need to and most likely doesn't even know how or that she can even can do it.

Personality: Isobel cares about something or she doesn't; it either gets her full attention or it is nothing to her. She grew up in a violent environment, and will also react violently in situations because it is the way she knows. Underneath most of that exterior, however is a very insecure individual who is lost in her life and trying to find her way.
She often suffers from nightmares in her sleep.

Backstory: Isobel was created as a parasite with her twin, Eve to infect their mother. She initially was a berry forced down her mother's throat, and the parasite grew and fed until it was time to live on its own. Amazingly, her mother gained maternal instincts and treated them as her children; Isobel and Eve knew no better. From the beginning, her life was chaos; her older sister trying to keep her from her creator so she would not come to harm; and her creator attempting at first to take her under his wing. Besides her twin, Isobel found she had other siblings; all on different sides. Isobel developed feelings for them all; it was hard for her to understand where to go half the time and why not everyone could be together. Lueur attempted to raise Isobel and Eve while their mother went missing.
Isobel's heart was ripped in two when she found her mother lying motionless behind the playground; she had no idea her creator, Thane, and brother Morioch had killed her and stolen her soul. She still does not know to this day who did it. From then on she became clingy, yet bitter; grateful for who was in her life but lashing out at them too. Around the same time she lost another important mother figure in her life- Phaios. Phaios had become a guardian to all of the little siblings and the older ones as well; her loss was felt tremendously within the little quill pack. To this day Isobel mourns her mother and Phaios.
Isobel often fought with her creator and her brother, Morioch as she grew older and she often appeared battered. She was as much to blame for the fights as anyone else. She knew her creator despised her. If she saw Eve being bullied, or causing trouble, she'd back her twin up.

Important Relations:Through it all, Isobel has made a few strong bonds that are precious to her. Greitai has become another mother-figure to her and she is fiercely loyal to her. The raptress seemed to take a liking to her almost instantly and Isobel her. She looked out for Isobel as she grew, and she still does. Isobel visits her whenever she can, and often leaves her food gifts at her nest.
Pica was her first non-family friend, and the tiny doe was fiercely protected by the frilled doe. Although their visits are short and not as often, Isobel holds Pica dear to her heart and always will.
Although she does not ever see her other siblings much, June, Morioch, Rossamund and Miriam, she loves them all and at this point is neutral about the past. She is rekindling a bond with June. Eve is always close to Isobel. No matter the distance, they share a mind-link and soul-link which connects them both. If anything dire happened to one, the other would know. No matter how old they get, she will always be protective of Eve. She is never to be harmed.
Isobel's oldest sister, Lueur, was one of the first faces she saw when she was born. She has a strong bond with her and when Isobel feels out of sorts, she looks to her sister to sort her out. Lueur has never judged; but simply cleaned her sister's wounds after a fight and kept a tiny fawn warm during cold nights in the forest. Because of this bond, Isobel became jealous and wary of a doe that formed a short relationship with Lueur. Lueur assured her sister. That relationship is passed, and Isobel is secretly relieved. When things feel lousy in Isobel's life, she can curl up to her older sister like a small fawn again.
Mikael is another friendship formed early in Isobel's youth. Although he is quiet where Isobel is brash, the two get along very well. They often travel other worlds together. They have grown quite close.
