Blood Tear Timeline
Zixin is Miyu's older brother, Cixi's husband and the head of the Red Kingdom Clan.
Zixin lived a sheltered life in the castle walls of Agana. However he was taught by the best teachers and protected by the greatest men as he was the prince of the Kingdom. His best friend and retainer was Kyren, who was his contact to the outside world when they were young children.
It wasn't until Kyren told Zixin of his failure proposal to Cixi the most beautiful lady in their generation. However Cixi didn't have the heart to choose which of the men in the Red Kingdom who were her favorite, rather she was a complicated woman who wanted the best man and thus stated she'd only marry the most powerful man.
As a prince, Zixin was considered a prodigy. His strong bloodline enabled him to summon powerful oni and win the hearts of his people as he proved himself to be a powerful leader and general. Once his father the emperor died, Zixin became the most powerful ruler in the kingdom due to the strongest oni in his possession.
Zixin then married Cixi despite knowing his friend Kyren loving her. However even if the man had it all, he wanted more power. The Emperor Zixin felt that the Red Kingdom was belittled by their allies the Black Kingdom and wished to take over the lands of the Black King to show their superiority.
However his retainers did not follow his commands and instead betrayed him and the main family as they wanted his power and security that the Black Kingdom offered.
The clan rebelled and wanted to overthrow Zixin and his outrageous plans. But more importantly his friend Kyren, once thought to be his greatest ally betrayed his trust. He was stuck in a situation where he decided to commit suicide to keep his oni passed down within the bloodline and have his oni protect Miyu.
Rebirth Timeline
Zixin is reborn however as a great general serving Emperor Kyren. He begins a forbidden romance with Cixi, whom the Emperor has claimed will become his new Empress. Their passion brings a new character to life. Despite it Zixin has chose to kept it to secrecy... not wanting this beloved to be caught and killed by his best friend the Emperor.

ZIXIN is a Chinese name meaning "son new," from (子) tzŭ3 1524b "a son, seed," and (新) hsin1 569b"fresh, new, renew."
