Cixi is Zixin's wife or the Empress of the Red Kingdom.

Cixi is a beautiful gem  and a legendary beauty born from poverty and of wedlock. Her father, who hated how his daughter reminded him of her mother, sold her to the House of Geishas in exchange for money to get out of debt.

However once the girl grew up in an cultured environment, she garnered much attention from the wealthy class men. Other women in the Red Kingdom Agana despised and felt envy towards her. Many men rich or poor fell in love with her appearance rather than her personality or her true self. But to Cixi, it didn't matter, as long as they sent her gifts and wealth. She never wanted to live in poverty ever again. But she disliked being mistreated as an object of desire.

She soon became one of the richest ladies of her trade but unmarried and not willing to. Until she met Kyren and Zixin who were related to the noble families of the Red Kingdom. It wasn't until then she set her sights higher, wanted to be untouchable to men except to the best and most poweful man. And maybe as the most powerful woman be able to change the world around her. 

She told all of the men who longed for her hand in marriage that she'd only accept the most powerful man to be her husband. Despite knowing his retainer Kyren was smitten over the beauty, Zixin soon became the most powerful man claiming the most powerful oni and Cixi to be his wife once he became the Red Emperor.
