Shivare

Shivare is a part of a race where the more ornate your mask is the higher class you are. Each one has their own gift and considering her mask and her gift, she is a lower class. Shivare's gift is that she can heal people but takes the wound on at 1/2 or 1/3 the original damage. They are a species being hunted to extinction meaning everyone who gets terribly wounded would see her, they don't care as much since she is low class. They can turn into animals as to try and be faster, each person becoming a unique animal based on their heritage line, as are gifts. Lower class people are not expected to fall in love or procreate so they have their masks on forever while higher class people, once they find love are able to remove their masks and reveal their faces. Shivare does her best but is fighting a losing battle with her colony.
