Ametiste was born and raised in the southern islands of Doissit, making him a bit like someone who is Japanese within our context.

He's single and he should stay that way, however he has a crush on his commanding officer, Aya Rubino.

He doesn't remember them, and he kind of doesn't care considering he's spent almost half of his life away from them.

Ametiste is a short, slightly curvy boy with wavy and short black hair, red eyelashes that seem almost natural, and very pale skin. He likes wearing long dresses and dusty colors that don't show off much more skin than his face.

Oftentimes manic, uncomfortably excited about every little thing - but most of all, he loves being a soldier. He loves killing people to the point that he might be a propaganda figure to recruit more youths just like him. However, the reason he loves violence so much is that there's something oddly cathartic about it. When he isn't getting unnervingly psyched up about being able to spill someone's blood, he is very cheery and friendly towards his fellow knights, as long as they don't pry into his business TOO much. He's often seen hanging off the arm of one of the lady knights or Ducky, Rubino's second-in-command, but never Rubino herself.

For the longest time, Ametiste must seem like he has no reason to enjoy hurting other people or seek catharsis through violence - but when he was 10 years old, his poor, struggling, cruel parents gave him to his province's governor for a sum of money large enough so that they could thrive in a house with plenty of food to go around.

Meanwhile, Ametiste thrived in a mansion with too much food for him to eat, too many rooms for him to count and too many little pleasures in life to really appreciate. You know. Because he was essentially the governor's live-in child prostitute. That's what he was sold for. He had a - job! A career, thank you very much. Utilitarianism! And after six years of that horrific abuse without even the pretense of love or respect (outside of the governor's many, many smiles meaning many different things), Ametiste snapped just as anyone would.

He doesn't remember exactly how, but one morning, the first thing he remembers is waking up on top of the governor, dress half unbuttoned, and absolutely drenched in his blood.

He fled the province immediately, and would have ran all the way across the ocean if he was able. Luckily, Ametiste lives without much suspicion or danger. But somewhere out there, Arya Kurosawa is still at large for the coldblooded murder of a beloved governor.
