About

Manipulative • Sensitive • Anxious • Determined • Loyal

past the slums and dark recesses

of sewers and musky streets

hidden beneath the light of dusk

you'll find the seeker of shadows.

---

From a first glance, Pan has little or no regard for any companions she is travelling with. Finding it hard to trust others, she often does what she feels is right, considering any acquaintances just that - temporary companions, that will later leave from her life. Rarely, she will gain trust quickly with particular individuals - those that she feels she is similar to. Granted, she will still talk with respect to say, a shopkeeper, though part of that may be because they have something she wants. That being said, Pan is clever and manipulative, though she uses that to protect the Order of the Sixth Flame, her family. In accordance to this, Pan is surprisingly sensitive, prone to emotional instability if she's under too much stress. Once someone has earned her trust, she is very attached to that person, and will be furious if anything happens to them.

Summary

An orphan on the streets with nothing to her name, Pan only found a family by accident when she wandered into a shack in the slums to steal some bread, from which she was quickly discovered by a group of Dragonborn mercenaries who took on any job to make enough profit to survive. They called themselves the Order of the Sixth Flame, and Amynta, a member, took her in as her own, teaching her the powers of a sorcerer and giving her her last name. Pan made fast friends with Ceto, a dragonborn around her age, and even learned their common tongue - in these regards, she's much more acquainted with Dragonborn culture than her own, though she knows how to speak Infernal.

More recently, Pan's close friend Ceto has gone missing, presumably taken hostage by her hometown's government after discovering they aided a criminal cartel in a raid - even though they have no possession of the artifacts and gold stolen. She seeks to return her home at any cost, which she started by taking a simple job that would reward her with some gold. But the job - and the people she found on the journey there - sent her life spiralling on a completely different path: the case of Braikten's new leader, a mysterious elf named Lucane, Kenta, the former Dragonborn leader gone missing, and a Hobgoblin rallying an army in the distance - was sure to change her life forever.

Design

• The fire she casts is always blue!

Trivia

• She named herself Pandemonium because she hates her freedom being violated.

• My first D&D Character! She was meant to be a very suave criminal, but ended up turning into kind of an anxious mess halfway through. She displays a confident, manipulative exterior on the outside, but is truly just an anxious and sensitive individual on the inside.

• Baggi the half orc was one of her companions, and because I can't find a place to put it, I'm leaving his quote here: "Well... I mean, she's an orphan, I'm an orphan, Melody's an orphan; and look at all that magic shit."

NOTABLE MEMBERS OF THE FLAMES
Ceto - Bard. Small, silver-scaled Dragonborn. Wants to become a musician playing her lute, but was forced to use her powers for other means so she wouldn't abandon her family.
Ladon - A shape-shifting Druid. Noticeably thin, emerald-scaled Dragonborn. The trickster of the group, though his jokes are not always liked by Aeton.
Aeton - Wizard. Intimidating, golden-scaled Dragonborn with a broken horn. Leader of the Flames.
Amynta Tiathanel - Sorcerer. Bronze-scaled Dragonborn with a scarred eye. Gave Pan her stubbornness. Took on the Tiefling as her own.
Kava - Priest. Red-scaled Dragonborn. Ironically bulky and intimidating, despite her healing powers.

NOTABLE MEMBERS OF PAN'S JOURNEY
Grommel - A cleric Goliath that ended up being a causalty of Pan's journey.  He was brave and kind, but ultimately no match for the goblin camp he and Pan encountered - and spent his life helping her escape.
Heather - A young Paladin Kenku with a shady history.  Pan relates a lot to her, but tries to keep a lot of it hidden - emphasis on try.  It didn't stop her from drinking herself to the point that she was sobbing on her shoulder in the tavern one night.
Melody - An arcane trickster, and a fellow tiefling.  Pan gets along with Melody well, considering their similar experiences - Melody being an orphan and Pan forced to aid criminal cartels in order to survive.
Baggi -  "Well... I mean, she's an orphan, I'm an orphan, Melody's an orphan; and look at all that magic shit."
A half-orc berserker.  Baggi is fairly clumsy and not the smartest of companions, but his instincts more than make up for it.  Though Pan can get easily annoyed at some of his 'accidental' shenanigans - including entering a brothel - she's glad he's on her side.
Lyra - A druid half-elf with a passion in history.  Lyra and Pan have had a rocky relationship from the start, but it eventually bloomed into friendship when they got past their differences.  Lyra and Pan are fundamentally different people - but at the very least, they know they can count on one another.

Berylheim - A white-scaled Dragonborn and the leader of the organization trying to bring the ruffian Kenta back, Berylheim is best described as manic.  Her love for Kenta transcends into an obsessive lust that proves disasterous at best if Kenta were to be released.
Kenta - The former leader of Braikten, a red-scaled Dragonborn whom was known for being a dictator at best.  During his reign, no one dared mess with him or go missing - except for the elf Luçane, who was rumoured to beat him in single combat with a nasty trick...
Luçane - Awfully cryptic and serious, Luçane is a firm advocator of justice.  She rules Braikten with an iron fist - for the better or worse of its citizens.
