Kayo's family a few generations before she was born went under immense pressure of the other shinobi clans as her family were to be discarded. However unleased a cursed heirloom and thus many shinobi died under the full moon. Kayo's family began to seek refuge, not wanting to be killed. Zixin's grandfather accepted their family as servants and thus many shinobis could only hold their bitter rage in their hearts against her family, unable to do anything as Zixin's family was powerful. They stayed hidden and hopefully forgotten by the ninja clans.
Kayo is a ninja serving Miyu and Zixin's family, serving them for a few generations. Kayo has taught Miyu and is considered her teacher. Unlike other ninjas, Kayo prefers housekeeping than actual ninja related work as fighting is not her forte. However she is the owner of the full moon dagger, and her summon has an overwhelming ability to kill.
Blood Tears Storyline
Kayo dies to save Miyu as Miyu escapes from the traitors who are out to kill her.
Rebirth Storyline
Kayo marries Yuji, an elite ninja from a different ninja clan and through him finds herself wind up in a world of conspiracies and lies used to destroy the people she loves. She is unaware of her past life.

- Though Yang Yang's voice doesn't match what i have in mind for Kayo ;u;.
Maybe Zhang Li Yin would be better if only she acted lol. Angelababy also doesn't really work though ?? need to watch the movie to find out hahaha.

- Her master who she had a crush and admiration of. But she long gave up on such feelings as she knew there were a very few who could move her master's heart, and she was not one of them. However she respects her master as he skillful and thoughtful yet very strong.

- Her husband. She tries to get along with him but since he seems dislike her weaknesses so tries to become a better ninja.

- Her mistress (her master's younger sister) she took care of Miyu as a caretaker and sometimes as a teacher and big friendly sister, making sure she didn't go out making trouble. However compared to her Master, she loves Miyu dearly enough to be willing to die for her.
