Profile

Bio

Jun’s just here to chill. Like, yeah, they kinda sorta uprooted the Interstellar Forces’ men-only rule, but that’s sooo 5 years ago! Now, they’re just trying to lay low, even though the universe is coming up with every possible way to prevent that. But whatever. At least this crew is nice, even though half are under twenty and one might be an actual child that snuck in? Jun is more worried than they’d like to admit about that, but if they have time to worry, they figure they might as well do something about it. So, using their 27-year-old wisdom, they hope to guide these lost children through life and across the galaxy.

Voice Claim

Romi Park, 96Neko (Androgynous, but deep enough to pass as masculine)

Personality

A relaxed, somewhat goofy attitude masks Jun’s vigilance. Their demeanor isn’t a facade, but protecting and helping the innocent is something they take to heart. It’s why they almost became a cop. It’s why they didn’t become a cop. With their training, it’s second-nature to them to be on the lookout for any anomalies in their surroundings or others’ behavior. Jun’s easy-going attitude, open-mindedness, and honesty draws people to them for advice. They have a strong sense of justice, and even though they prefer to work within legal means, they have enough common sense not to let laws dictate their morality. They’re modest. Positions of leadership intimidate them even though everyone else thinks they’d be great at it. Surfing is Jun’s favorite hobby; it shows in their slang. Other than that, they prefer less intense pastimes like people watching and having impromptu philosophical debates with trusted friends.

Backstory

Through some circumstances that they don't really like to talk about, Jun ended up joining the all-(cis)male Interstellar Forces by going undercover. There was a rumor that being in space for too long, especially past the asteroid belt could stunt reproduction in those with ovaries, which is the reason why women were generally banned from enlisting. The plan was a success for a while, and they made new friends like Aiden Kelly, but an injury to the shoulder forced Jun to give up the act. The reception was very mixed, some were apalled that such a "breach in security" could exist, some were thrilled that Jun was living proof that anyone can be a Star Ranger, and some simply didn't care. The second opinion won out, and any adult over the age of 18 was allowed to join the IF, regardless of gender. Jun became a celebrity. They hate it.

Relationships

Leon - "Nice enough guy." Jun finds Leon to be a harmless guy. Really friendly. They find it kind of adorable that he so openly looks up to them. They're also really impressed with how open-minded he is, even though Aiden is determined to teach him a lesson about entitlement for whatever reason. Jun makes sure Leon doesn't get pushed around by him too much.

Mia - "She's cool." Jun wondered why Roxie chose to befriend this girl who didn't really seem like she wanted to talk to either of them, but after Mia warmed up, Jun can't really see a problem with her. Jun can see that she takes her job seriously and prefers her space. They can also tell that she tries her best to avoid making waves.

Roxie - "Rox is like a sister to me." Jun met Roxie a couple years ago after changes were made to the IF. Jun really enjoys Roxie's presence in their life. She's like a boundless source of energy and kindness, and Jun enjoys seeing her happy. Jun also finds her really trustworthy and they don't have to worry so much about Roxie not understanding their life choices, unlike a lot of other so-called fans. She's very special to Jun, and they couldn't bear to think of something bad happening to her.

Aiden - "Kellyyyyyyy *finger guns at him*" Jun is probably the only person on the ship who can deal with Aiden's personality. They know him better than any of the others, and that he's really not that threatening. Jun is usually the person that keeps Aiden from being so abrasive with others or looking like he doesn't care about his job. Sometimes Aiden refers to Jun as his "personal parole officer", but despite their differences, or maybe even because of them, they really trust one another and get along.

Angelo - "He's nice but....something's up." Jun can't see how any harm could come from an anxious kid like Angelo, but that doesn't mean they're not suspicious. Jun doesn't think there's any way that he's 18 years old. They keep an eye on him, waiting for him or Leon to slip up. Still Jun offers him guidance like the others; he seems to be a nice kid. He seems kinda lost...

Emil - "He's a really cool guy! I like him." Jun thinks Emil does really well at keeping everyone energized, and he's just kind of pleasant to be around in general. They know he has his own problems from time to time, but he seems pretty confident in his job, and Jun respects him for that. They know it's probably hard for him to take a role of leadership at such a young age, but he's doing pretty well. Jun also noticed that Emil doesn't refer to the dorm's bathrooms as "men's/women's" anymore, but rather "left/right " or "red/orange". They appreciate that.

Lorenzo - "He's gonna do okay." Unlike Aiden, Jun doesn't find Lorenzo to be hiding secrets by staying in his room all the time. They wonder if maybe he's stressed out; Emil did mention a couple times that he's quiet by nature and kind of a loner. Jun wonders if he might not know how to interact with people very well aside from giving orders. Either way, Jun doesn't find any fault in his leadership abilities.
