In a relationship with Deimos, they happened upon each other while adventuring and, as Mark was one of the few people Deimos had come across who knew sign language, they started traveling together fairly quickly; Deimos joining him as a means of communication, Mark just because he liked the idea of treveling with someone and how bad could this guy be?

 Boy, was Mark unprepared for what Deimos would bring, but he got attached, the guy not quite the friendliest to start, but very clearly good hearted. Mark never suspected a thing and, if Deimos was able to control it, he wouldn't know a thing. Unfortunately, here came along Sebastian, bringing the past back to the surface and risking taking Deimos.

After some back and forth, they reach neutral terms, Sebastian still leaving a sour taste in Mark's mouth for quite a long time after the fact, still not completely trusting him after their first encounter. 

Long friends with Leif, they had grown together and learned magic together, leaving Mark running off to Leif when he needed someone to talk to and offering an ear himself with Leif needed to let off some steam. When Mark went through some Serious Drama(tm), Leif was the one to help and comfort him until he left to adventure. 

Saving Iwalani more like: "Mark don't do anything rash." Pshhhhhh, that's not rash. Now, THIS! *transforms for a disguise* THIS IS RASH!
