Biography
May & Ray is a single person. Born to unassuming, upper class parents in a rich, suburban town, May & Ray awakened as a magic user at birth. Growing up, they creeped the hell out of their parents, finishing each others sentences and complaining when the other was hungry. Eventually, as they grew up, they realized that nobody else had two bodies, so they pretended to be two seperate people. Constant lying filled May & Ray with dysphoria and anxiety. They identify as bigender, too, and they didn't know about the term, assuming their gender identity was as unique as their power.
Eventually, stress boiled over and, in ther teen years, they rebelled. Each night, one twin would sneak out while the other would stay home and keep everyone else unaware. Committing petty street crimes alongside a suburban gang, they eventually drew attention to themself. Instead of getting in trouble, they were discovered by the magical community, which brought them out of the dark spot in their life. Now they have context to their ability, and they work a job as an intern magical enforcer, working on the beat to find and apprehend magical criminals. They also get to take advantage of their two bodies and two legal identities to get double the pay.

They've dealt with Rezi before, but since Rezi doesn't really break any laws that only apply to the magical world, and they recognize that Rezi's a good influence for his gang, they've gone easy on him. Eventually, when they're both fighting the same fight, they really start to appreciate him and eventually fall for him.

- If May ate a lot and Ray didn't, for whatever reason, Ray might gain a bit of weight anyways. If they were both reunited, they'd quickly match in weight again. (It's a metabolism thing. Like, if your metabolism is higher than normal you lose weight, and gain weight if its lower than normal. There's just some level of weirdness where their bodies metabolism will conspire to keep both bodies the exact same weight, but wildly different diets (like, if one were held prisoner) would throw that off.)
- If one of May&Ray's bodies were killed, a simple (but also incredibly expensive) spell for regenerating lost limbs would hypothetically create a new one, if cast on the still living body.
- May&Ray's hair is dyed. They're naturally blonde.
- Their purple eyes are a side effect of their magic, and can be disguised when in a glamor field.
- They play Heroes of the Storm, and have two accounts. They usually play Cho'Gall, the one hero who requires two players to control.
- They're both pretty physically androgynous. People tend to think May is a little masculine for a girl and Ray is a little feminine for a boy.
- If one of them drinks alcohol (or takes drugs) both are affected.
- Neither May nor Ray can fall asleep unless both are in bed. Both their bodies fall asleep at the same time. They only have one dream at a time, but from both of their POVs.
| May&Ray are two characters who take up one spot in your party. Their basic attacks deal reduced damage and their overall stats are mediocre, but that's what you get on a 2-for-the-price-of-1 deal. Together, they have decent damage, and focus on self-buffs and dealing damage. They are, of course, much stronger when both are alive, so keep them that way! One twin can revive the other in battle, too.
Their promotions are to Guardians and Strikers. Guardians focuses on standing their ground and fighting together, while Strikers gives them mobility and attack power, letting them strike from odd angles. |
