Riy is a young boy from the coastal Kakabara Town, who was drawn into the conflicts of war that plagued the continent of Enelios because of a chance meeting with a princess of Fenrir. Traveling alongside Renne Araa, the princess of the kingdom of Fenrir, he is a secondary protagonist of Story of Lucethia. 

Appearance

Riy is a young Wolflian boy of below average height, though only by a small amount. His hair is a snow white color and fluffy, almost cloudlike in appearance while his eyes are a crystal clear blue color. His physique is typical of a male Wolflian, though thanks to training under Lars Asgarich, his physical condition has improved and his physique is now more lean, while remaining firm. He wears white pants and elegant short boots, while also wearing a coat that bears the insignia of Fenrir's royal family. He also wears black fingerlength arm sleeves, a black scarf and underneath his coat, a black shirt.

Personality

Riy is normally a quiet and reserved boy from the coastal town of Kakabara, rarely going out of his way to speak with others unless he requires something. When forced into work, whether it be due to the town leader or his current employer, he tends to reveal a bit of a grouchy side. He has a particular disdain for those who see themselves as above others, and those who refuse to help the weak. Due to his status of being parent-less, this has caused Riy to develop somewhat of a Robin Hood/Vigilante persona, being unable to resist the urge to help those in need, particularly children.

His disdain for powerful people who don't help others extends to nobles and royals, however this is due to his belief that his own family abandoned him to serve one. His meeting with Renne Araa had him being initially cold and distant, even rude, believing her to be as the others he'd encountered. In spite of this, Renne persisted in befriending the boy and has gradually chipped away at his closed off heart, causing the youth to be more open and social. Though he still holds some resentment towards the noble class, his time with the Fenrir royal has allowed him to see that the world isn't quite so simple. That not all of noble birth are selfish and self serving.

Skills and Abilities

Swordplay: Though not formally trained, Riy possesses some skill initially in combat with a sword. His time spent doing tasks for various towns and clients let him polish his skills, giving him enough competency to deal with minor monsters and even some mercenaries. Though after his initial encounter with Renne Araa, and after beginning his travels with her he quickly realizes how much he doesn't know, and begins studying under a real tutor, who helps him grow.

Riy was born on the 71st day of Braons, the second Mana cycle of the year. He was born inside the walls of Fenrir palace, not even a full year after the birth of princess Renne Araa. However at the time, the continent was still engulfed in war, and so he was kept largely away from any kind of violence.  While his father fought on the frontlines, his mother raised both him and his sister herself, teaching them various things about the world. When the war ended, it was his father's intent to send him away to a small town in the then named kingdom of Alcard. That town was Kakabara, where he would spend most of his time. His reason for doing so was, and is unknown.

Unfortunately, this led Riy to develop resentment for his family, gaining the belief that they had abandoned him to serve a noble family. As he grew older, he did odd jobs in Kakabara as well as the neighboring city of Almandura, while trying to learn basic swordplay for survival. 

On the 45th day of Slunn, the fourth Mana cycle of the year, as he makes a routine trip to Almandura, one flighty shadow stalks him from the crowds, a toothy grin and a greedy gaze as it tracks down its prey. The boy who bears an important royal insignia...

• The spelling of his name is a jab at how often the creator of his character would have their own name mispronounced, due to its spelling.
• When he's apprehensive or nervous, Riy has a tendency to grab the scarf around his neck and tug at it.
• While he has no aptitude for Magic (having not been born a Spiritist), he does have the genes for learning to write Runes and enchantments.
• Originally, his name was to be Falkner, but it later became his middle name instead.
