SUMMARY

"Ah, Lady Albicant! How may I be of service?"

     A magical construct created by a mysterious girl named Laminea Albicant. He serves the Head of the Destruction Kingdom, but his ultimate loyalty lies with Laminea. He is reliant on her orders and will stop at nothing to protect her no matter how distant and secretive she may be.

     Despite his nature as a construct and membership of a Kingdom bent on wreaking havoc across the Crossroads, Semil is a cheerful and polite individual who loves to converse with others and engage in friendly spars. He's one of the Destruction Kingdom's most likeable and sociable individuals, though his habit of never missing an opportunity for an ice-related pun may cause your mileage to vary.

     Despite his somewhat intimidating appearance, Semil is actually very easy to get along with. He has a polite, friendly, and lighthearted demeanor that makes him likeable and emotionally unthreatening (unless you find ice puns to be emotionally threatening). He treats others kindly and respectfully, often causing people to wonder why he's involved with the Destruction Kingdom. He does enjoy fighting, but the sort of mass chaos and violence the Destruction Kingdom is known for doesn't seem to fit his vibe.

     His nature as an obedient construct helps to clear the air: he's very dependent on orders and tasks. He becomes anxious without any orders, but with them he becomes dedicated and determined. He's loyal and protective, but only toward Laminea Albicant and anyone she directs Semil to ally himself with. Nothing can sway him from his loyalty to her and despite the questioning of others he sees no issue with his complete dedication. Disobeying his creator is something he physically cannot comprehend and none of her orders could make him question this; her morals are his morals, her desires are his desires.

ATTRIBUTES

     Semil is a hulking mass of ice, with most of his body consisting of large ice crystals. His basic build is humanoid, though highly muscular, with massive hands, and with legs that end in sharp points. Much of his body is covered in what seems to be packed snow, creating the illusion of clothing or even fur. As his head is a mass of jagged ice, he lacks facial features. This means he's unable to taste or smell anything, though he claims to still have the ability to see and hear. Each facet of ice on his head seems to serve as an individual eye, allowing him to see in a variety directions at once.

BODY LANGUAGE

     Semil is unable to express himself with facial expressions but makes up for this by being expressive with the rest of his body. He likes to take on dramatic stances and poses, swinging his arms freely and always making it clear who he's addressing and with what intensity. His body language brings to mind some sort of sentai character: active and over-the-top.

SCENT

     Ice doesn't smell like much. Semil is no exception to this.

VOICE

     Low-pitched and strangely crystalline-sounding, faceted and echoing. His intimidating voice is someone offset by his casual manner of speech: though his words tend to be proper and polite, his tone is always cheery and casual.

     Also, he makes a lot of ice puns. Try not to give him the cold shoulder for it.

STORY

     Semil doesn't have much in the way of memory. He simply gained consciousness one day before a white-haired girl named Laminea Albicant and was immediately ordered to protect her from some nearby monsters. After quickly and efficiently slaying some beasts, he began following Laminea on her journey to protect her wherever she went. He never asked what the nature of her journey was, partially because he had no instinct to pry at her affairs and partially because he correctly assumed someone as mysterious as her wouldn't give a straight answer.

     They traveled across the expanse of the Crossroads for a couple years before heading toward the Heart: the central city of the interdimensional mess called the Crossroads, where all of the Heads of the various Kingdoms resided close to. Semil accompanied Laminea into the Destruction Kingdom, where Laminea - despite being a human, and a relatively young and powerless one at that - fearlessly approached the Destruction Magnate and requested membership for the both of them. Semil got in easily due to his immense strength and durability, but as membership tests in the Destruction Kingdom are conducted privately he was unable to see how Laminea managed to get accepted as well. He hasn't questioned her, though, as he believes deeply in her and has no impulse to question her.

     Since becoming members of the Destruction Kingdom, Semil and Laminea have been sent on all sorts of missions to fight, destroy, and cause chaos throughout the Crossroads. Semil has plenty of fun with it and has succeeded in serving both the Destruction Magnate and Laminea. He and Laminea still work on some different things on the side, but it wouldn't be befitting of a loyal servant to have such secret information on a public character profile!

ABILITIES

     In addition to having super strength and massive clawed hands, Semil has complete control over ice, able to manipulate existing ice and able to create ice out of moisture in the air. He can use this ice as weaponry or as shielding, and often both at once! This also means that he's capable of manipulating his own body since it's made of ice. Of course, this presents a large weakness: though the ice he's made out of is extremely durable and hard to crack, he can still be melted by heat.

     As a construct brought to life by Laminea, if Semil's body is destroyed it will slowly regenerate so long as Laminea is alive and desires his continued existence. Because of this he doesn't fear "death," and though he'll avoid it to ensure Laminea doesn't go unprotected he's also willing to sacrifice himself for her sake.

Ah, my answer here is clear! Yes, the house in the woods is the best choice! So many trees to scratch at and carve into... I could really personalize my surroundings! Yes, a house by a large body of water would be more strategic given my abilities, but if one is to make a house a home it must be close to their heart!

...Though posting that made me realize that I've had the e and a in his last name mixed up this whole time and now I gotta go fix that whoops
