oh man i kinda play? inactive rn to try and save for preordering the next expansion pack .. and i kinda lost the will to grind for my weapon lmao...(and i'm afraid when i log back in i'll have forgotten how to play. again. rip)

lukkas einherjar of the aether > sargatanas server, i261 loldrg/drk main and in the end i have more crafting classes levelled and maxed than combat but yes very casual. i also started back in the end of october of last year

right now working on getting all the crafts to 60, gearing/anima for drg and capping off drk so i can level off mrd/gld for cross class skills proper... leisurely--so you know fun and exciting things.

OTL) AND HE'S ADORABLE! If I had the gil, I'd decorate my own house more... lmao I'm hoping to level up some crafters before expansion o/

puubear HHAHA nothing wrong with casual!! I'm also trying to slowly level bard, as a whm I already levelled thaumaturge to 26 for swiftcast so I do enjoy that too! (AND JUICY CRIT MAN) I have no idea what I'll main next because I'm going to FLY to red mage when it comes out, so I'll see if I like that @v@;;;

@AM1CABLE Yeah it's very easy to get burnt out from the grind. I think around patch 3.1 I took like a 9 month hiatus from the game to focus on art and school. Took awhile to get back into the swing of things, but the muscle memory pretty much stays with you once you get used to it again! And okdjfg I can't seem to play melee dps AT ALL, like rotations?? waiting for the animation/delay while trying to figure out what's going to proc is so stressful to me in a hard match. I think I have pugilist at level 20 now and I can't keep GL up for sh*t because I always hit the buttons too fast, hitting bootshine for the new cycle before snap punch registers LMAO;;; THEN ON TOP OF THAT- positionals?? no way o)--< I'll just throw rocks at people....

vergil AHHH cute!! I always love the character creation options, especially with skin tone and different facial structures! I wish there were more of course, but I'm very happy with how much there is now! I wish I had the patience to level my crafters, I seriously need the gil x"D

@zziro double yeah on burnout. i play solo for the most part bc my guild is full of either people doing alex savage. or er. were. i guess that's done now?? idk haven't been on since palace of the dead was new. or people being like 'i just hit 30! how do i change my hair?' and when im doing nothing but logging in, crawling through dailies, alone, then logging out again i tend to get bored lmao
also re melee, really??? i feel like dps is for scrubs because its the class i play L L MAO...healer is so much more uhh idk crucial? important? awe inspiring? terrifying? i tried to heal in fiesta online (...11 years ago wow) and would get stress dreams abt it, so maybe i am just not suited to the pressure idk

also its  wasn't at me but vergil hi5 crafting fun - out of my 7 maxed jobs 5 are crafting/gathering so i feel you. 8 u 8 b

@zziro LOL there's always the wish for more options... i definitely just kind of lucked out. and ganbaaaa it's worth it in the end for sure o/

@papyrsatyr You can never play too much! xD I'm interested in learning paladin if I ever go for a tank job because I've been told it's the easiest of the 3, other than holding hate pre-50. I just have anxiety with tank responsibility q__q

@am1cable ooh yeah, that was my issue when I was on malboro. I enjoyed that players weren't raid-centric there but they weren't really doing anything else either LMAO Now I'm on Adamantoise and part of the fc Ascendant <RISE> which is the most active on the server! It's very organized and all of the top ranks host events for the savage raiders, pony farms/bird farms, and content clears for new/returning players. We also publish the unofficial fan magazine with job guides, interviews, content digest and other stuff called The Moogle Post! We were even interviewed during fanfest >7 < //stops bragging oops sorry HAHA// But I don't see a lot of rp on this server other than this weekly restaurant/cafe event called the Blush Bistro, which is also hosted by members of our fc xD.
AWH HAHA yeah I've had nightmares about hp bars blinking and dropping so I definitely get that! Healers have a lot of pressure and usually get blamed for everything but I definitely know WHM is the easiest of the 3, if not one of the easiest jobs available (there's plenty of Oh Shit options to fix either your own mistakes or someone else's). SCH worries me though because you have to know the fight you're going into so you can mitigate incoming damage, but whm is just about picking people back up after damage is already taken, so most of the time you really don't need to know the specific mechs of a fight at all (I would say the latest 2 fights in particular are more advanced for healers than I've seen in a LONG time though, those 2 suck to heal in).

I totally get you on the whole Tanking anxiety! Though once you get over it it's...the easiest job tbh. I honestly say this as I started out as a Healer main (sch) then moved to DRK, then MNK, then PLD, now BRD. e_e;;

But yes the hardest part is just learning the tank mechanics. ( which are generally just where to move the boss as to not smack the entire party) and then just staying there. And grabbing adds when they appear. So basically what I do is just get comfy with the fight with another class and then swap over to tank! Also. fair warning. Most tank classes really suck pre job stone/tank stance. PLD especially. But most people understand that and are forgiving. Anyone who gives you shit about it is just a vocal minority ignorant asshole.

@zziro i heard sch was super easy because your summon does 40-50% of the healing for you or smthn? my first 'real' battle as a whm was in palace of the dead vs edda and i ran out of mp and only had enough to keep the tank alive through most of the fight -- it was pretty embarassing e w e;; god those hp bar nightmares are something aren't they
i always figured easiest job was drg since its literally just 'stand out of the big glowing damage areas, rotate through these set combos, and maybe hit one or two buttons in between if ya feeling spicey'

also lmao i'll categories that as ~enthusiastic gushing~ not bragging i mean it sounds p neat! esp the fanfest interview. i think my groups one of the larger ones on goblin .. which is ... not saying much ... gg small servers. its a friendly fc and the one i've felt the most welcome in, i'm just not friends with anyone in it. (im honestly not someone who rps at all in mmos so i avoid rp servers <u<;;) i've never actually switched servers before? whenever someone's been like 'hey come play on x server' i've just made an alt, since 90% of the time the person's gone inactive after. i actually have ... 6 characters, but all the others were on servers where i joined to play with a friend, they quit, and i couldn't even find a decent fc, or where i joined a friend's fc and they don't play often, but i don't want to be rude and leave.
