Chat with Friends(And make some!)

Posted 6 years, 9 months ago (Edited 5 years, 10 months ago) by Shugahime

So, I have recently come into wanting to be part of this site more, and would love to belong to a circle of friends, or some such thing. I will warn, I am not an artist, but I am a roleplayer.
I have anthros, and some fandom ocs, but anyway...

I'm 25, female, and I love dolls, and video games.
I am a lesbian. Yessss I like girls. >///< And taken by an amazing woman!
I own a 2ds, hoping to upgrade soon! I currently have Pokemon, Monster Hunter, and Animal Crossing!

My favorite shows are Steven Universe and Star vs. The Forces of Evil.
I am also into anime, though not as much as I use to be. Yes, I have a few anime fandom characters... Mostly Sailor Moon though. o3o
I am a bit picky with music, my favorite bands being Buck-tick, FEMM, and Kamelot. I will warn... my tastes in music are very, very weird. xD

I can't wait to meet you all soon!!

Shugahime

@Bugdaze Woooow. OwO; Yeaaaah that was a huggeee ass massive game!!

Shugahime

@superfreshh Welcome to the thread!! :D What's your fav coffee?? ^^

@PrinceLotor Hi there! It's a pleasure to meet you! I hope you find this place comfortable and it'll help you feel confident enough to branch out here. You like Pokemon? :3 Did you play Sun or Moon? And what has your favorite generation been thus far? I bet your pupper dog is super sweet and cute. <3 -squees- I do wonder what it's like to keep birds though. owo And you named a lot of good cartoons, namely Steven Universe and Gravity falls!! And you roleplay too? ^w^

superdeadaccount

Shugahime Indeed it was, it was part of the reason I brought it to TH besides the fact that I like it and that I wanted to see how popular it'd get on here, which seems to be doing well ;v;

@superfreshh @princelotor Hey there, you two! What's up, you guys? ^v^

sylvertongued

Shugahime I did play both Sun and Moon actually; I got a digital copy of Sun since it as sold out everywhere, and later ordered a physical copy of Moon because I'm one of those odd people who prefer having physical copies over digital ones. My favourite generation so far probably was the 3rd - mostly because I grew up playing Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald a lot and it introduced some of my favourite Pokemon~ Although my favourite games in general probably have to be the two GC spin-offs with the Shadow Pokemon, I'm still kinda bitter that they never continued those. ;n; She is! She's gotten a bit chubby and lazy in the past years, but considering that she's slowly becoming an old grandma, I suppose that's to be expected. vuv Keeping birds it's pretty nice, especially when they're tame! The only thing that ever bothered me about keeping birds is the noise - I usually enjoy having some sort of background noise, but on the rare occasions that I wanted/needed silence, the constant chirping and singing could get quite overwhelming at times. And yeah! Roleplaying is probably the one hobby I managed to keep my passion for since I was a tiny little bab, my passion for everything else kinda comes and goes in waves to be honest. ^^;

@Bugdaze Nothing much to be honest, just listening to some music and browsing the web I've been drugged up with painkillers since Monday, so I thankfully get to stay home from work all week. vuv

Shugahime

@PrinceLotor
I gotcha. :3 I played Moon, because I loved Lunala... such a pretty ghostie...
I, unfortunately, was tardy to the party and came in on X & Y. ^^; And no, I prefer to have a physical copy too. I think the digital copies simply take up too much storage space, and I feel they aren't permanent enough. ;;w;; Something could go wrong and poof? You know? I totally get ya, I had pet rats for a little while. They could be noisy too, though nowhere near like a bird I imagine. owo
Same here, That's the one hobby of mine that has stayed true, and consistent. :) I mean making characters is fun and everything... but it's amazing to see them really come alive and interact with others.

@Bugdaze I'm glad, and I am certain a lot of people are grateful for it. :)

sylvertongued

Shugahime I'm not sure why I got Sun first tbh... Maybe because it had Alolan Vulpix/Ninetales and Rufflet/Braviary? Dunno.
Honestly, I prefer physical copies because they make me feel like I actually got something for my money? I can't touch and really look at digital copies, which kinda irks me and, ever since losing an U-Play account and the games on it, I'm kinda weary of that happening again too... or maybe it's just because I'm so used to having physical copies littering my home, haha. The only time I'm 100% okay with physical copies is with PC games; imagining the 250+ games I have in my Steam library being stored at home... yikes. ^^;
Ohh, I actually wanted to go for rats as well a while ago, but I never really got around to that either. I did see a very pretty and sweet female rat at a pet shop a while back though, she kept coming to the front of the cage to sniff my finger and it was adorable. ;u;
Same, I really love not knowing what's going to happen next! Developing my characters on my own is nice, but writing with someone else adds that little extra something to really keep it interesting & kinda push you into directions that you might not usually go, if that makes sense?? Plus, I made some amazing friends through RPs over the years and while most of them moved on, the few that stuck around are truly precious people that I enjoy chatting & roleplaying with immensely~ One of those friends started something TES-based with me, and within a little over a year we have already created what feels like 100 AU versions of our two sons and it's just so much fun. c':

I guess I'll throw myself in here... I recently invited my other friends to join here, but I want to get to know people already in the community!

My name is Tak0, but you can call me Livi if you want, as that's my preferred name. She/They pronouns are cool with me. I'm 14 years old, and I'm kinda surprised there aren't more people here around my age. I would call myself experienced in roleplay (3-4 years experience? might have been 11 when i started. wasn't remotely ok at all, but i consider myself pretty good now.), and not all too experienced in art.

My favorite show is The Amazing World of Gumball, but that's really the only show I'm interested in. Yes, I do have a lot of Steven Universe characters, but I don't really watch it anymore mostly because of Lapis (just not a fan of her... at all...). I keep them because I've grown too attached to them, and I don't change their fandoms/make them something more original because my main roleplay forum site is SU related, and so I need them to stay Gems. My favorite games on the other hand are Splatoon, Kirby's Epic Yarn, and if you couldn't tell already, PaRappa the Rapper.

I do have a lot of non-fandom characters (about 25 now, and 13 currently in the making!), but I'm still debating on wether I should add them here or not, because they're very personal to me, and I don't really like telling other people about them.

Didn't expect to see myself write this much... Hope that some of you are interested in talking to me! I'm terrible at starting conversations with new people, so if you want to talk to me I please ask that you start! Hope this is ok, I'm a little nervous!

Shugahime

@PrinceLotor
I totally know what you mean, and those friends that stick through all the shit are the true gems worth keeping. ;;w;; I have a friend like that, we have one universe and it's just grown to have SO many more charries. x.x I am always looking for new people to try roleplaying with though, you never know what kind of friends you'll make that way. :)

@Tak0yama
Hey! Welcome to the thread. :) Tell us about your current favorite that you have? ^^

sylvertongued

Shugahime
Yesss, they're the best! ;w; Same tbh, it's always nice to write with new people and new characters. I roleplay on a different site as well and it's always super reassuring when new people approach me to plan a new RP because.... you wanna write? With me? You think my writing's good enough?? And my characters and plot ideas appeal to you??? Bless your face. c': It just always feels great to have people be interested in you & what you do. vuv

@Tak0yama
Hi there! PaRappa is a pretty cool series; I never played it because I didn't grow up with Sony consoles at all, but I watched Let's Plays of it online. I'm horrible with rhythm games though, so I don't think I'll ever play it myself tbh. ;n;
May I ask where you started roleplaying? It's always interesting to me to see where and how people started off. c:

Shugahime

@PrinceLotor
Mhmm, I know exactly how you feel. Though, I fear it might be more difficult for me to find people as all my characters are lesbian. >w< Just my preference, you know? I am curious, do you roleplay any of those cartoons you listed? And what is your favorite kind of roleplay? I will say I am intrigued, as I think you'd be fun to roleplay with. ^^;

Shugahime

My favorite characters? It's really hard to choose, I adore them all... Maybe Kaolin and Kollochrom! I'm now considering bringing two of my personal characters to this site publicly since they have the least developed story, there's only two of them, and well, they don't even have names yet, and I would like input from others to see what I should do with them!

@PrinceLotor

When I started playing PaRappa, I was terrible at it too... It was mostly because I couldn't quickly figure out where the buttons were because I almost never play Playstation. But I eventually got a lot better at it, because I memorized them somewhat quickly! If you ever do decide you're interested, I recommend PaRappa 2, it's my favorite! As for where I started roleplaying, I started on the Steven Universe Wiki (i know, it's an odd place, but it was the first place i found with roleplay as a kid!), but roleplay has since been banned from there. I'm still very active on the Steven Universe Fanon Wiki, where we continue to roleplay just like we used to. I don't have opportunities to use my Splatoon characters there, so that's one of the reasons I'd like to roleplay here!

Shugahime
I mostly write gay dudes, so I feel ya - although the site I frequent thankfully has a lot of users who predominantly enjoy mxm pairings or platonic stuff as well, so it's fairly easy for me to find partners when it comes down to gender/pairing preferences. vuv I rarely really write for hetero pairings at this point anymore, if ever, so most of my chars, no matter what sex/gender, aren't straight either! (Don't think I have a straight character stored here so far actually... ^^; ) I have one Gravity Falls-based roleplay with that friend of mine & an AU version of our gay sons that I mentioned and a sci-fi AU that was very loosely based on Voltron, but other than that, I've never actually written much for my cartoon fandoms? I wouldn't mind giving it a try though! And ahhh, thank you, that means a lot to me! ;w;

@Tak0yama
Honestly, I'm still horrible with the PS controllers... I own a PS3 and a PS$, yet I still struggle with memorizing them, haha. It's the main reason I prefer playing stuff on PC rather than my Sony consoles tbh, the other being that I enjoy modding my games a little too much to give it up. ;n; If I ever play PaRappa, it would have to be with an emulator though, since I'm not really looking to buy older consoles & the games. They're hard to find tbh.
Ohh, I've never heard of someone who started roleplaying that way, that's interesting! I started on German websites made by random users I met on another website that focuses on the community making game reviews & answering game-related questions. Primarily Pokemon-stuff, but we also branched out into supernatural and high school stuff and the likes. I moved onto Chicken Smoothie after that, where I started getting more literate - I was never the one-liner kinda person, but I began writing more and more on CS. I later moved on to Advanced Scribes, and that's where I stuck. Although I also did occasionally pick up e-mail roleplays & partners from other sites like Howrse and such. vuv

Shugahime

@PrinceLotor
It doesn't seem too difficult to find mxm here either, it's just finding fxf that seems to be the tricky bit. -giggles- xD
Well, I do have a S vs TFE charrie if you'd like to explore that realm? I also have SU, wouldn't mind making a Gravity Falls either. x3 What would you feel comfortable with, would you prefer to discuss this over PM?

@Tak0yama
I am curious now, tell me about them? x3

sylvertongued

Shugahime
True, I see a lot of gay, but it's usually mxm rather than fxf. I love me some gay guys, but I wouldn't mind seeing more gay ladies around either. <w< Now that you mention it, I only see very few people on my main RP site who primarily look for fxf either actually, it's usually either mxf or mxm that's preferred.
And yeah, you can send me a PM if you'd like! I recently purchased two or three female designs that might work fairly well in a S vs TFE setting though, so we can def try to come up with something for that! c:

superdeadaccount

Shugahime Yeah, I sure hope I did ^^

@Princelotor If you don't mind me asking, why are you on painkillers?

@tak0yama Oh hey! I'm about 14 too since my birthday's in November, finally somebody about my age! xD What's up?

I'd throw myself into the convo but I usually get too anxious to do that because I don't have good social skills, mainly because I haven't had an IRL friend in 2 years so yeah
