Respond to the Prompt Above You!

Nothing better to get those creative juices flowing than a little story prompt, right? Here's how this will go!

  1. Claim a post so you don't get ninja'd
  2. Edit your post and respond in character with 3+ sentences to the prompt
  3. Below your story, suggest a new prompt for the next person!

Your responses should be in the form of a short story or snippet of your character's life! For example:

Prompt: Your character steps in gum
Response: Blake was already having a rotten day, between the test she flunked and the disaster that was school lunch. Now, she thought, she was going to be late to practice because she had to stop and scrape somebody's disgusting chewed bubblegum off the bottom of her brand new track shoes. It wasn't really the worst day ever, but it was one of many that had come in a row, and Blake really needed a break. Etc...

Your response can be as long as you want it, but if you're writing a ton, make sure to leave a prompt for the next person before you embark on your novel!

So, here's your first prompt!

Your character just won a prize! What is it, and how do they react?
(if 24 hours goes by without a response, feel free to suggest a new prompt, or reuse this one!)

Nyhkan

Claim!

Your characters Roommate/Bestfriend brings home an exotic animal as a pet!

DinoSaga

"Edwyrd, for the last time, stOP BRINGING HOME DRAGONS THEY ARE GOING TO BURN DOWN THE HOUSE. You have to train other kinds of pokemon, for Arceus' sake."

Edwyrd, with three small 'dragons' squirming in his sleeves... *surprised Pikachu face*

Your character's friends have invited them to a tabletop game night, that they don't realize, just might cost them their life.

Clyde salternate

Clyde sat down at the table, glancing around at his peers surrounding him. He then glanced down at the board. Just a simple game of Monopoly; a normal human past time. However, Clyde preferred to watch, for he was not really a game person.

Clyde paid no mind to the chattering his friends made. However, as time passed by, he began to notice something peculiar. What originally started as laughing and chuckling turned into aggressive yelling and table slamming. How could earning money beget such rash behavior?

Then, it hit him.

Prompt: An alternate universe where OC 1 is a part of a mafia! OC 2 is their unsuspecting victim.

Ferdinand de Rosiaire Virgichuu

Claim!~

Ferdinand was quite devoted to the family and sincerely thought of himself as such. Any of his aspirations usually had the family's benefits in mind and his current position did, in fact allow him to do so. He took great relish in his identity as a Consigliere and none could deny how irreplaceable he was to the boss. However, as much as his reputation and ways earned him the mob's trust and dependence, it was a mere faint and insignificant compared his brother's brilliance. Théophile shined as bright as the sun, the Rosiaire's family underboss had bewitched civilians and gangsters alike since his youth, his words golden and undeniable even in the face of their ruthless father. However, Théophile was too good, and their boss, nothing but an empty shell.

Ferdinand felt that being Consigliere was good but, for the sake of the family, becoming the boss might be for the best.

Prompt: It's the 21st century, OC 1 just inherited a mansion haunted by OC 2.
