"I hope you don't mind asking this question but....what's it like living with anxiety, OCD, and TS? I mean that must be hell to deal with," he looks off to the side as he said. "And what ways do you use to cope with it? I know you use Haloperidol but is there any other things you use?"

"To me, it comes down to the stories that come from mythology specifically the ones that center about the Gods, Goddess and the mythical creatures that come from. The stories are in some ways fasinating when it's not..what's the word for this? Dressed up? No..." Adrian frowned. "Disney-fied? Let's go with that. What I basically mean is that it's made glorified beyond belief to the point it's made drastically different from the original concept. Anyway, I don't particular mind when stories of these mythical figures are Disney-fied. It's just that it never entertains me. I just love how raw the original idea of these beings can be when they are first created. It's so nice to see things through the eyes of the people who created them you know. Let's take Zeus. He wasn't a great guy. He was most certainly not a villain. He was what happens when you have a guy who is the big chief of other Gods and Goddesses. You get a carefree God that doesn't fully take in how his actions affects others. I could go on about this..but honestly, I might be talking about this for hours~" He ran his fingers through his hair. "Bu let me just say Japanese mythology will forever be my favorite mythology. Now this could be because I can summon a creature based on a mythical creature from Japan and I do kinda live on this island. However, I can't help it. Have you looked into the story of Izanagi and Izanami? It's goooood~"

"Since you like mythology... do you have anything special you're particularly fond of? Myths of certain cultures or time periods, perhaps? Or certain mythological figures or patterns visible in myths regardless of their place of birth?"

"I have... no concrete plans as we speak. I definitely have a strong urge to make them pay for what they have done to me (and for my aunt and uncle, but at least they weren't forced to fake their own deaths!), but right now as we speak I have nothing set in stone. But whatever it is, I want them to understand how much I have had to suffer for reasons beyond my own control. Shouldn't your own children be more important than your reputation? Shouldn't you take responsibility of the life you have helped to create?"

"Killing, huh...?" he then mumbles, and lets out a faint chuckle. "Who knows..." 

How does he plan on getting his revenge on his parents?  Will he go as far as killing them or does he want to use his magic to curse them somehow or ruin their reputation/business?

     Even before becoming an unwilling test subject she didn't have a GREAT time with other people generally.  She went into the military to get away from a shitty home life as soon as she was able and while she saw a lot of bloodshed and violence and tragedy the worst thing about all of it was watching people try to start wars of pettiness or greed under the veil of trying to help or defend an ally, hiding what they couldn't similarly justify somehow,  unabashedly abusing their power to coerce underlings into horrid situations, generally making bad situations worse and then getting away with it.  And she was right there under all of these shitty people and equally incapable of fighting, because she's seen people try and it never does anything.   And now she's missing large swaths of memory, and people around her seem shadier than ever and she's not even sure she can trust her own 'friends'.  

    So she's just.  Seen the worst humanity has to offer & not enough good to balance the scales.  She can't even begin to crawl out of this pit of pessimism she's been swept into.

"You say you don't care for humanity... but is that really true? Why would you feel that way?"

"Mmm... I can't say I know the answer. I haven't even seen my father, at least not since coming to the world I live in now. I'd like to think he has a good reason, but I won't know until I find him."

"Why was your father so sure that sending you away would be more safe than keeping you with your family? The war was over, so why is this other world somehow safer than just keeping you all together? Also, why did only you have to be sent away? Why didn't all of you go, or at least why not your sister with you? Is she just... not special enough or something to warrant keeping safe...? Sounds kinda unfair to all of you, in my opinion at least. Maybe I'm just asking too many questions though."

Alec grits his teeth and lets out a deep sigh as a reminder to behave himself. "No, it's mostly just me... and my mom. She's a tiny little lady, so I probably get it from her, whereas my older brother takes more after our dad because he's a fucking behemoth." 

He pauses as he thinks about the answer to the second question. "From what I understand, everyone who has potential for rifting, or magic I guess is a simpler way to describe it, has a Soul Prism inside them. It's supposed to be some intangible crystal that serves as a focus for your rifting, and it's normally meant to be entirely hidden inside your body and doesn't even interact with the rest of your body, like it's in a different plane of being while still being anchored to your soul... or something... Mine is apparently messed up and is... off-center, or whatever. So it's sticking out of my shoulder a bit and it's kinda dangerous when it's exposed and my rifting is active... not that I'm that great of a rifter yet, but still. I've been told that the rifters in my family all have Soul Prisms just like all the other rifters out there, but they've been mostly dormant for the last few generations or so... which is why none of us really know much about this stuff. It's just something you're born with if you have the potential for rifting, but that doesn't guarantee you'll actually be a magical person or whatever. Like, my mom and brother haven't shown any signs of rifting yet, but they still apparently have Soul Prisms since they're in the bloodline. My dad on the other hand probably never had one. I guess he could have, since most of us didn't realize any of this magic nonsense until recently, but... I guess we'll never know that for sure."

"Yeah, okay, so I've got some questions about your... heritage? That better be the right word. So first I wanna ask if your whole family is short or if it's just you, but I kinda get the feeling that's not a question you wanna be asked so I came up with another too. What's the deal with the Soul Prism? Did any of your family members ever have one, like a grandparent or an uncle? Or did you get it somewhere? Never seen anything like it."

"Man, someone really turned up the heat in the hellfire today! I guess you could say justice, but I dunno. Someone gets mouthy and they also get a punch. I don't like people badmouthing me or my friends or family. I think half the time I just wanna fight though... One of my friends says I got a "short fuse." It's just really easy to wind me up. Like, I'm not gonna hit someone if they annoy me, but the moment you start drunkin' on me you're gonna be sorry. I don't like being embarrassed and I don't like being talked down to. That's kinda like justice, right? You say something dumb and you regret it. I think it's justified. And uh... no, I'm not really big on the whole 'mangled bodies' bit. I think that's just you."

"Eugh, umm... I can't tell which eye to look at. Tell me, when you cry, does every eye on you overflow with tears? Or is it just the two- er, four on your face? One more question, if you don't mind, but... do different people have different tastes? As magnificent and perfect as I am, I-I'm sure I wouldn't taste too great, eheh..."

"Friends?" He scoffed at the question and splayed his fingers over his chest heroically. "I have plenty of friends! An overwhelming amount, actually! So much, in fact, that I could not have a Facebook page simply because it couldn't comprehend me having so many friends! As for people that are attracted to me, well, all kinds are! Who wouldn't be, I mean? I'm so handsome, and I've saved countless lives. I'm a hero only seen in fables! I could never avoid my loyal fans!"

Do you have any friends? What kind of people are you attracted to? And what kind of people you prefer to avoid? 

"Probably a snake. They just sleep and sunbath and that's about it, which sounds almost what I do daily except better with no responsibilities attached." 

"If you could be any animal, what would it be?"

"I believe the plants and herbs does a lot more good than my tool, cos it helps make them feel better after I patched their wounds."

"You seem rather... interesting. What do you like to in your spare time? Is there anything you do to relax?"

"Eh? Well if I had to think about it... I suppose it would be romance or love stories. I don't think they're accurate representations of real life, and actual love is a lot more complex than what is often told of in stories."

"You look like a "swim upstream" kinda girl. What's something you hate that most people love?"

"You got me. No 'lover' here. Nobody wants to go out with a girl who only has time to date strangers. My idea of a good, real date is staying home, cooking together, maybe watching some TV. Occasionally I'll go out for dinner or a movie, but I spend so much time in bars, clubs, restaurants, and theaters that they're not too appealing when I'm off the clock. Plus there's the whole jealousy thing. I get paid to write cutesy texts and tell people I love them, so lots of exes just get doubtful and wonder if my telling them 'you're special to me' is just another trick up my work uniform sleeve. They don't trust I like them because they know I fake liking people for a living. Kinda sucks, but hey, I've got my money."

"Interesting person you are..." He observes, "Does this mean you don't have a lover? If I'm wrong.. what are they like and how is your relationship with them?"

"Ah... yes, that guy is definitely a unicorn." The cat cringes, "Anyways, despite so, he's a pretty prestigious guy in our world of powerful descent. Since he picked up someone like me, I've started doing tasks like exterminating troublesome wild yokai, stuff like that. It's troublesome though."

"Kirin? Ain't that a unicorn? The hell kinda tasks would it make you do?"

"Freedom? The hell you talkin' about? I AM free. Listen here, lemme give you some free advice: whoever has the most money has the most freedom. See this? My huge ass house? ONE of them, at least? All my stuff? Kid, I'm livin' the life. I wouldn't trade that for, what, a pencil pusher job? Get real!"

If his parents were to abandon the mob life and try to start a new one while raising Taka, I think he'd definitely not be in the same line of business, but his personality wouldn't change. He'd still be stubborn and a noticeable punk in the area. Maybe in a twist of fate he'd end up working for a mob. Although it'd be fun to see him as a cop.
