Need help finding bunny species!

As maybe you can tell from my icon, I do like bunny characters very much! ^^

Recently I've been worldbuilding a little for a new story concept--a world inhabited by all anthro bunny people, set in a kind of steampunk setting but with magic and supernatural elements as well. As I flesh out some new characters for the world, I'd like some more ideas of different bunny species I can use for my world!

I'm already pretty familiar with many mythical rabbits (my sona in my icon is a wolpertinger, for instance), but if you know of any interesting mythical rabbits that aren't so well known, I'd love to hear of them! I am also interested in possibly looking at fictional rabbits from media, like video games or shows. (For example, one of my upcoming characters is going to be based off a Pols Voice, a rabbit monster from The Legend of Zelda series.) I may not be familiar with all the series out there, but I'll still look into any suggestions!

Finally, I am also fond of bunny original species and would love to look into those as well, as I already own a few bunny-themed closed species designs that I'll be using for this story. If you know of any fave bunny species (closed or open, doesn't matter to me!), please let me know about them! I would definitely prefer species that are not restrictive in their lore/stories and won't require me to participate in a group or anything like that, however. I also prefer if the species is anthro/humanoid; I don't really deal in feral designs!

Gosh I love bunnies, too! I even have a pet bunny at home huhu.

I have a couple of rabbit characters based off of the Al Mi'raj, if you haven't heard of it already! My own Mi'rajs are just inspired from the legend and have different but similar abilities. I also recommend checking out Bunnior on DeviantART; they had a closed species called Bunniors but I'm not sure if they still make them. Regardless they have some recent adopts, and maybe you can get some inspiration from Bunniors.

velvette Ahh yes, I've heard of al mi'raj before! I actually have a character custom in the works with an artist to design me one. I can't wait. ^^ I will also take a look at the suggested Bunniors!

The first thing that came to my mind were the Viera from Final Fantasy 12/Tactics Advance haha. But there's also Niccolo and Wanderer from the Mana series as well! There doesn't seem to be a page on the actual species for em though but still. Buns!
Also I'm not sure if they're open or closed, but jaywalkings on da has a species called bunnyowls - info on them is in the description here!

coffeebean I actually did like the Viera back in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance! ^^ And I remember those rabbit characters from the Mana series, too. Though it's been a long time since I played any of those games, so thanks for reminding me~

Beau had a couple open species that he's recently given up control over (so open that no credit is needed to him if you wanted to make one); they're just two rabbit species with silky tails, but Silkbuns and Silkbabes were a thing, and they're still floating around.

Pepperly Ah, thanks for letting me know! I remember seeing Silkbuns around and liking them, but I hadn't realized they were an open species now! I just thought they'd been retired or something. :3

Now I suppose it's not realistic to mention but I thought I should.

If you want to try my Iakari species You can test the waters with them, they arn't really rabbits but they've had a good lot of comments on their face as being like a rabbit ( added with comments about them looking like dragons, dogs, cats oddly, and lizard ppl )

I have a semi-open species called Starriears - I made a thread for them a while back! The fella in my icon is one of mine. They're pretty bun-like and originate in space, but can be land-bound too if your story needs them to be. We do have a world/group for them but participation in it isn't required ;v;
