PSA - SCAMMER - IKASHIMA ( Possible resolution pag

:EDIT: Ikashima has issued an appology post on page 8, for anyone interested in seeing.

This is a post to alert you guys that there's been someone who's been "commissioning" artists, only to have charged back the payments after receiving the majority of their art.
There's no way to get back the money once the dispute goes out, as paypal will instantly refund that user "their money" even if you give receipts of your transaction.

The user in question currently is http://toyhou.se/Ikashima
:EDIT: their DA username was meltymilks, but the account has since today been deactivated.

They commissioned several artists the past two days, and all have receive chargeback to their accounts.
They had a deviantart, but that account seems to have been deactivated.
and they are not responding to pms.

Some people, like myself, have already spent the money they rceived, so now have a huge deficit in their paypal balance. Which means any commissions we do going forward, are solely going into paying off the "debt" we now owe paypal.

This is truely rude and unfair to the artists who've put in the effort to draw these pieces, AND who're now out the money.

Sooo, this is getting even worse, not only are just other artists coming forward letting us know they got scammed too, the adopt creators of the characters this person “purchased” ALSO got charged back.

The adopt artist so far that’ve gotten scammed were :

So, now there’s an unpaid and now owner-less adopt floating around, with a butt ton of unpaid for art of it.

ahhhh well fuck, this just happened to me and i was hoping it was an honest mistake on their part, lol... that's garbage, and it's garbage paypal doesn't offer any better protection for it :^/

I'm in the hole too, I'm just glad i hadn't started their commission due to how I handle my queue. i'll be refunding them and wiping my hands of this as soon as I am able to.

To anyone who does need compensated for their work, paypal does usually favor buyers. But if you have a finished or in progress piece you can in some cases present that, your TOS, and chat logs as proof of transaction. I have also heard of people mailing a printed version and using the tracking to settle a dispute. i've won a dispute on capped chatlogs+ a finished piece on FA but Paypal seems to be very inconsistent with their rulings.

Yeah, sadly, I pump out art fairly quickly, so I was finished the same day. ; n;
But yeah, they also were fine with me charging +5$ for the extra details. I just thought they were being nice and being fine with it. but............... *stares*

iirc when nyanperonyanynanya whatever their name was went around issuing chargebacks to a bunch of ppl a few years ago; opening up a dispute makes u out $20 automatically, plus paypal doesnt really side with sellers esp if u sell digital content anyway so it's better 2 just refund n move on

Yeah, sadly, even though I resputed the claim, with the logs and the finished piece, it instantly refunded them the moment I sent over that information.

Man.... it was 60$ too. now I'm -60$ deficit becasuse I bought replacements for my empty skincare items.
