Story:

Pius looked at the male who walked in front of him. He had a vice like grip on the rope which was connected to the bonds he had used to tie Pius' hands together in front of him.
One of the other two men walked beside Pius whilst the other one followed the small convoy in a short distance.
Pius' fear and confusion had changed to calm fury but he tried hard to keep his feelings hidden. Instead he thought about his uncle, who had fooled him and sold him like an animal - only because he wanted to have the legacy of Pius' father for himself.
His mother was something different though. Pius had known his uncle and her had relationship for a very long time now. He had seen them together when his father had been on the battlefield to risk his life for them and the whole empire.
Pius had wanted to tell his father about it but he was afraid he would go, leaving him behind. So he kept quiet.
But to be honest, Pius had never thought his mother would betray him in such a way.
When the message about his father death had reached them, his uncle had told his nephew about a nice place hidden in the mountains. A place of such beauty, it sight would for sure help Pius to get over his fathers death.
Pius didn't liked the idea at all but his mother was delighted about it, so Pius gave in and a few days later they had started their trip but instead of heading to the mountains his uncle had sold him to this three slavers.
The last words of his uncle had filled his heart with such a deep anger that he would have ripped his uncles head off at this point of time, if one of those slavers wouldn’t have knocked Pius out at the exact same moment.
Finally your father is death. Your mother wasn't too keen about the idea of selling you at first but after I convinced her it would be the best to keep our affair a secret and that we actually would keep the house and gold if you wasn't there anymore to eventually claim your fathers legacy, she agreed with me to get rid of you. Don't take it personally. I never wanted children. If you want to blame somebody for your current situation, go ahead and blame your father for it.
Pius had remained silent when he came to his senses. He had watched his uncle, who had a smug grin on his face, go and at this moment he had sworn that he would come back someday and kill them both. He'd let them suffer for betraying not only him but also his father.
The slavers wasted no time. Obviously they did already know where they wanted to bring him to. They had been on the road for a few days when they had stopped in a small town.
Pius had remained silent but he had listened to the people around him talking and so he witnesses a conversation of a few merchants, talking about an ambush in a larger city a few days away. Normally it wouldn't have been that interesting to him if it wasn't his hometown they had been talking about. But only one fact was of interest for him. He could hear them talking about the death of a miner and a woman who were murdered in their house. The owner of the house, a centurion who was killed on the battlefield a few weeks ago.
This words forced a evil grin on Pius face. His father had been the only centurion in their town, which meant his uncle as well as his mother had gotten what they deserved. He was just sad it wasn't him who had actually done it.

Now he followed those slavers. He had now intention to flee. His mother and uncle where already dead which made his wish for revenge impossible. Deep inside his heart he had already gave himself up. Everybody he had once known was dead. There was no reason to keep on living. He just continued walking because those males forced him to do so. He didn't care where they would take him to.
When Pius lifted his glance he could see the dimly outline of a larger city and a few hours later they arrived at their destination which ought to be a large building.
The head slaver wasted no time and knocked on the large door. As soon as it opened up, the slaver exchanged some words with the other person before other man finally let them enter.
Pius was brought right in front of an older looking man who eyed him with mild interest.
Pius didn't uttered a word. He just stood there, waiting for something to happen – may it be slavery, death or something else. He didn't cared about it anymore.
»What's your name?«, the male suddenly asked Pius. His voice sounded strong but it also emitted a calmness, which remembered Pius of his own father.
»Pius Lentulus, son of Cassius Lentulus.«, Pius answered in a flat voice.
Suddenly the other man stood up and walked towards Pius. He circled him slowly and eyes him from top to bottom before he stopped right in front of him, looking Pius directly in his light blue eyes. The other man could clearly see the pain and hate in Pius' eyes but he didn't even try to ask him what did cause this feelings. Pius felt thankful and grateful about it.
»Alright, I'll take him. Pay them and then get them out of my house.«, the man said and a male who might have been in his thirties, who had a blank on his face, went to complied the order.
Pius watched the slavers go. They had a satisfied when they left and Pius wondered how much the other man had just given to these people in exchange for his body.
What would this man do with him now?
»My name is Primus Lucius.«, the man suddenly introduced himself. »This is my son, Titus.«, he added with a nod to the man who had just paid the slavers.
»No need to be afraid. I won't harm you.«, he said in a low voice so only Pius himself could hear him. »You are going to serve me a my personal servant from now on.«, he added in a louder voice which earned Pius and Primus Lucius another blank look from Titus before the Primus told Pius to follow him with a wave of his hand.
Pius followed him. Lucius radiated a strength unlike anything he had encountered since he had lost his father and somehow he suddenly felt the urge to serve this man. This thought lifted his mood and a faint smile passed over his face.
Even though he wasn't more than a simple slave he suddenly felt something deep within his heart hope, that maybe someday he could call this place home.
