Clover has wanted to be a mage since he was young. His parents were strongly opposed, so he studied in secret. After a fight with his parents on the subject, he ran away from home for a night and met a young girl named Nika. She told him that if he could learn enough magic on his own to impress her, she would teach him everything he wanted to know. He returned home and set to work immediately, spending every free moment learning all he could. Eventually he succeeded, and since then, Nika has been popping in and out of his life teaching him magic and testing his limits.
