Lydia 'Lightning Bolt' Bailey

Lightning is a sporty girl with a zest for life! She is very sociable but is not close with anyone. She moves often and has a distinctive hair color and name to be memorable to those she meets. She plays many sports, but her all-time favorite is tennis!

When she was younger, Lydia had a great group of friends throughout her elementary years. When she got to sixth grade, all of them just started ignoring her for a reason that she never figured out. After that, her family started moving around a lot because of her parent's jobs, so she was never able to figure out the reason. She's always been worried that it might have been because there was something about her that turned people off of being friends with her after they grew too close, so she now keeps her friends at arms length, never wanting to get close to any of them in case the same thing happens again. When she was thirteen, she started dying her hair and adopted the name "Lightning Bolt". Her parents thought it would be a phase she would grow out of, but she never did. Because she moves around so much, Lightning wants to be noticed in the places she goes and has tried to make herself a memorable person because of that. She's always had an aptitude for sports and tries to join every team possible at her schools. She enjoys the team atmosphere, but also likes the pressure on herself in solo sports like tennis.

Lightning met Pepper when she moved to Isleton. The way that they meet varies depending on the story, but they're usually forced to meet by some circumstance, whether it's in school, they're heores for some adventure, or they're in a Total Drama season together. They have a conflict at the beginning as neither really likes each other. Lightning thinks Pepper's a bully and Pepper isn't a fan of friendly people like Lightning. Lightning and Pepper are also very competitive, so this causes them to rub up against each other. Over time, the conflict becomes a bit more friendly as the two start to spend more time together and like they way they interact. There's usually some relationship-building moment, which is usually a serious conversation between the two where they realize they both have problems letting people into their walls and they figure out they have a lot in common. After that, the relationship develops from there! Instead of competing, the two become a great team.

IMPORTANT: Her hair is not a gradient! It is one tone of blue. Her hair is also longer than in the references (middleish of her back).
