General ToS

Section I
Image Copyright and Guidelines

  1. I, the artist, retain full and exclusive rights to the original artwork. The client may not claim it as their own or use it for anything other than personal use.
  2. Prohibited Actions
    1. Commercial use. Redistribution of my artwork for use in printed merchandise or as promotion of goods, services or social media pages is prohibited. However, this does not mean it's off the table, we'll just need to work out a contract for commercial use.
    2. Use as NFTs. This falls under commercial use, but I will never negotiate a contract that has anything to do with NFTs.
  3. Permitted Actions
    1. Editing art (beyond cropping). Sometimes a character changes or I didn't get something 100% right, or you just think something would look cool another way. It's totally okay with me if you edit and repurpose the piece as long as I receive credit.
    2. Reposting my artwork to different sites with credit.
  4. If these terms are broken, you will be privately blacklisted from commissioning me.

Section II
Payment Information

  1. I only accept payment in USD. All USD payments will be taken via paypal invoice. Please do not send payment until I specify.
  2. It is your responsibility to confirm when the payment has been sent. Sometimes a payment will fall through and I won't know about it - this might get your piece or design stuck in limbo for longer than it should be.
  3. Refund Policy
    1. Since I don't take payments for commissions until the final draft is approved, you can be refunded up to 25% of your order if you manage to catch me in the middle of finishing your piece.
    2. No refunds will be given for completed or nearly completed commissions.
    3. No refunds are given for design sales.
  4. Commission Cancellations
    1. I will not cancel your piece unless I am having a personal emergency, I feel like I can not provide you with a fair piece, or I feel I'm taking too long.
    2. If I issue a cancellation:
      1. I may give you a discount and complete it, if you like the piece.
      2. You may receive what work I have done for free.
      3. If you've paid, then I will issue a refund up to 75%.
    3. If you cancel before payment, I will request ~50% of the original payment to be paid (you'll recieve the sketch). Refusal will result in a public blacklisting.
  5. I will hold your money until the transaction is complete. I do not spend money that is not mine.

Section III
Contact and Communication

  1. Discussion of commissions can be conducted via DeviantArt Notes or Discord Chat.
  2. Your commission will always be uploaded and updated on my Trello commission board. I will always try to be transparent about updates and my current workload so you don't have to wait to hear from me!
  3. Always feel free to ask for an update after 72 hours.
  4. Payment info is usually given after the final draft has been confirmed by the you. This is so I can account for edits and time.

Section IV
Workflow and Process

  1. Works in Progress (WIPS). Nearly all commissions will have a sketch approval stage. I will upload WIP screenshots (if applicable) of all commission types on Trello, the WIP screenshots generally being of the sketch stages, the approved draft, and whatever stage I end on before sleeping/moving to another piece.
  2. Revisions and edits. Any major changes or revisions must be made before I begin fully rendering the piece, this includes any significant changes to a character’s pose or body shape, or redrawing parts of the image.
    1. After the sketch has been approved, no major edits or changes will be made. If the commissioner requests additional edits after the approved sketch, a price for the edits may be discussed.
    2. If I make any errors in the character design, accessories, or any other visual elements specified in the provided visual references, I will make these edits at no additional cost.
  3. Final post. I will always ask you for final edits on the finished piece before I publish. However, I will post if you don't get back to me after the first and second note.
  4. If you do not want me to post your commission online, please tell me before I start the commission.

Section V
Commission Preferences

  1. Visual Reference Guidelines I work best with a clear image of your piece. While I'll probably need to take some artistic liberties, it helps a ton if you give me lots of details about what you want! (I advise against linking to an entire gallery of your character’s artwork; design interpretations may be inconsistent between images and lessen my ability to accurately draw your character.)
    1. Important details that you can include:
      1. Pose
      2. Facial Expression
      3. Character personality and disposition
    2. Other helpful things you can do:
      1. Send me a quick sketch of what you want - even if it's just a stick person doing a pose!
      2. Redline/edit my drafts I send you - colors and poses can be hard to get without a clear reference - so show me what's in your head!
  2. What I prefer to draw. These are my strengths and what I love to draw!
    1. Humanoid/Anthro
    2. Simple, generally 'rounded' designs
    3. Girls
    4. Peppy/Bright characters
    5. Fantasy themes
  3. What I'm okay with drawing. These are okay subjects for me, but the characters might not shine through as much.
    1. Monsters
    2. Boys & Non-Binary
    3. Normal/Casual/Modern day designs and themes
    4. Sad/Melancholy characters
    5. Sci-fi Themes
  4. What I won't draw. I'm not the artist you're looking for!
Note: I don't have a problem with most of these subjects, I'm just not comfy drawing them for strangers.
    1. NSFW or sexual nudity
    2. Heavily sexualized characters
    3. Ferals, mechs, real people, or licensed characters
    4. Deranged, psychotic, masochistic, or mean spirited subject matter

Thank you for your interest in my artwork. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions!
