Rose came from a hidden village of flower demons, a special demon race with flower related powers, who lived together within a lush meadow in the land of Olrichula. She was raised by her mother, a Red Rose, and her father, a White Rose, who always saw their daughter as their beautiful and delicate flower. But just like an actual rose, she was pretty from afar yet dangerous and thorny by touch. Life was too boring for Rose to not want to always get into fun trouble and fights, usually with her best friends, Poppy and Lotus. They've known each other since birth through their parent's, and called their trio the "Devils in Flora". Each member had a representing animal for their personality/preferences to go with their flower.

When they were around 13 years old, shadow monsters began appearing without warning throughout the entire land, forcing the race to go into hiding after their village had been discovered by the shadows. Rose's parents were one of the few flower demons to fight back so that others may escape, and told their daughter to get to safety. But Rose refused to leave her parents behind, and wanted to help fight too. So she went back, adrenaline pumping through her as she charged. But it was soon replaced with fear as a horde of shadow monsters came charging towards Rose, leaving her petrified. She wanted to move, fight back, run, anything. But she was too scared, this was real, real life or death danger. But before the horde could get to her, Rose's parents manage to floraport her out of the way. They stopped fighting back in order to get their daughter to safety.

Instead of a scolding like she expected, Rose's parents were just glad she was safe and didn't disappear among the shadows like some others did, and showered her with love. Just like they always did. Which made Rose realize why she'd always act tough but froze when it came to an actual battle, because she didn't want to be coddled by her parents so much and wanted to make it seem like she could be strong and independent. But they never corrected her behavior and continued being overprotective, which just made her lash out more. Rose felt she lacked the proper freedom and discipline, so she and the rest of the "Devils in Flora", decided to take lessons offered by a flower demon they knew named Amaryllis and some adults in using their flower powers for combat.

The "Devils in Flora" were among the many flower demons who grew stronger with improved combat skills and flower power, with Rose's powerful voice and dance moves increasing. Although Rose was shy when singing in front of others despite her amazing voice. Upon mastering Amaryllis' training with her and the others, Rose was given the final training task to go out of the flower demon's hideout to seek a special blacksmith to forge a powerful weapon(s) based off her flower, to better train and defend herself against the ruling shadows someday. Upon completing the task Rose received the Rumbling Roses, a pair of spiked knuckles that transformed into large gauntlets with great brute force. 

Over the years the remaining flower demons fought back against the shadows in order to remain undiscovered in their hideout. Rose was ready prove her own true bravery by protecting and helping others without hesitation, and with Poppy and Lotus always by her side. 

Five years after the shadows attacked, a flower demon named Lavandula, who was thought to have been lost during the village's destruction, resurfaces as a strong man with a new power to travel with doors of light. With the help of the Olrichula’s leaders, he vanquished the shadow guardian that blocked the world’s Heaven’s Gate, and opened it to allow the Creator to finally take action. With the Creator’s influence over the world once again, the land was cleansed of the dark creatures and peace was restored. This allowed the flower demons to come out of hiding after all these years, and Lavandula reunited with his people and friends/family. A celebration was held that night in honor of his victory and the return of the flower demons.

The next day Lavandula spent time with his family and then individually with his friends before saying his goodbyes, explaining how he was embarking on a journey across worlds on behalf of the Creator. Later that day Rose meets up with Lavandula, and thanks him for everything he's done before challenging him to a quick sparing match to see what he's really made of, to which Lavandula accepts. He comes out victorious in their little duel, and Rose offers a reward/gift to aid him on his journey. She takes him to the special blacksmith who made her Rumbling Roses (and apparently Lanvandula's swords, Elegant Lavenders) with 2 rare special roses, a black rose and a blue moon rose, and has the blacksmith forge them matching weapons. Which result with two whips that shared the names of flowers they were forged with, Rose keeping the Black Rose and giving Lavandula the Blue Moon Rose. She tells him that the next time they meet, they'll be dueling with their whips of similar yet different power. Lavandula thanks Rose for the duel and new weapon, and continues his preparations for his departure.

Later on the "Devils in Flora" regroup in their original village to plan how they're going to prevent what happened to Olrichula from ever happening again.
