ben is snarky and enjoys messing with his friends. at a first glace, strangers dont assume much of him and rarely expect him to act the way he does. despite his nasty streak he's also very in tune with how the people around him feel and he tries to make sure hes not pushing it too far. anything he says is all in good fun and he knows when to apologize.

both his parents are bakers and run a small business making and decorating cakes. ben is also a skilled baker, he was taught at a young age. he doesn't like to make conventional cakes though, usually covering them in some weird fucked up writing. he doesn't particularly enjoy cake as a food either, its more like his art form.

he works part time at walmart in the bakery section, but he's also a certified lifeguard and works at a local beach during the summer.

hes very sensory seeking. its rare that his hands are ever free, he likes to pick at and crush things. looooves stuff like slime and fidget toys.

he likes to shave his hair down to a buzzcut to get a fresh start but also so he can run his hands over his shorter hair. 

was very sick as a kid due to heart problems. he's since physically healed from it as much as possible but still deals with a lot of medical/sickness related trauma and depression. he has an icd that also works as a pacemaker.

very close with gerber. the two are together but dont openly tell anyone about it. (its very obvious anyways and they kind of know that) they rely on each other for emotional support a lot. theyre always either causing trouble together or being a giggling mess.

he has a pet bunny named marshmallow... certified emotional support bunny

needs to be reminded to take his meds often, he relies on his parents a lot for help and has a lot of trouble asking for help from anyone else.

HIS HAIR CAN BE DRAWN AT ANY LENGTH... this is mostly for me so i remember. facial hair too, have fun with it

can also be drawn with little dangly earrings that look like the hostess chocolate cupcakes

completely tone deaf but he likes to sing. mostly to be silly but sometimes he'll sing to gerber to try and cheer him up.

he and vin are exes, they dated for a very very short time before realizing they would be much better off as friends and because they're queer they really meant it and because theyre good people they followed through with it. on good terms with each other and still talk/hang out often. vin drives him home from work when he doesn't have any other ride. gerber was skeptical of vin at first, but when he learned vin had a pet cat he was fine. (he also trusted ben. he was not suspicious of him, just vin.)
