Nikolas was the heir to Nocturna's Kingdom. His father was often called by people as the Dark Lord of Noct. He was raised to hate, conquer and destroy all in his path. Throughout his whole childhood, Nikolas was trained in the dark arts. His father showed him no love as he only saw his son as merely an object to be used to continue on his dark legacy.
However, Nikolas was nothing like how his father made him to be. Nikolas was never close to his father but his mother was the light of his life. She may only visit Nikolas a few times but every time she visits, she would show him how kindness have shaped the world. Though his mother was then forbidden to visit him when he reached 17, she had made him promised to her to be kind even in dark times.
When the King of Noct was taken down by the revolution, they had Nikolas thrown in the dungeons for being his heir. They decided that Nikolas was merely a puppet and was no longer useful. Nikolas had no intentions of taking over either but he doesn't like the dungeon at all.
While in the dungeon, he had teamed up with an outcasted werewolf named Ray. Together they broke free and Nikolas went on a quest to find his mother.
It shouldn't have taken him 2 years to find his mother but his dark heritage had made him an unwelcomed guest to many. The quest was worth it as he now lives with his mother in the cottage far from village but yet close enough so his mother could come by and get groceries.
Nikolas has been then trying to gain the trust of the close village and show them that he is nothing like his father nor will he ever be like his father. It will take time but that's just where his adventure truly begins.
