Tenerife, the Sentinel

Setting Fantasy (modern or high-fantasy)

Species Bookling (#052)

Height 9'2"

Gender Male

Orientation Pansexual

He's got a lot of expectations handed onto his existence...

Not exactly a genius in the sense that first comes to mind, but rather a master in the strategy of survival and wilderness/wildlife.
You'd consider nature a paradise if letting Tener hold your fate in the massive amount of territories he watches over.
He also is a great tracker, able to handle bounty for missing persons in the wilderness, or even hunt down escapees (though these situations are nuanced, he trusts in his 'masters' and will rarely question if what he's doing is right).

He's magnanimous and seemingly pleasant (to non-Booklings) on first impression, despite his outward appearance-- he is used to being shied away from. Truthfully, he knows that the way he looks can help in his line of 'work'.
He doesn't usually agree with his Bookling brethren and will often dismiss them on the grounds that most of them are seemingly subservient and could take his place as, what he hopes to be, 'the most helpful and mighty'. But that is of course his little secret :+)

Before he was trusted with wild land, he was weak and often ripped to shreds by the very thing he loves. So in a way, he owes a lot of his potential to humanoids tasking him with his duty-- and this is why he shows so much respect.

TRIVIA AND NOTES:
Traits: Monster Bookling (R)
- Unable to resist any offer to explore other natural wonders, even if he knows nothing about them beforehand.
- As he is extremely proficient in understanding nature and wildlife, he is predictably clueless when it comes to deceptively simple man-made creations (such as agricultural harvesting devices, all the way to electricity and technology of the modern eras)... He is genuinely a natural, 'wild' man.
-When he was weak and unleashed, he learned quite a bit of tricks he uses to this day. It's also apparent he learned all by himself, with all those scars... But he always credits his newfound successes to his 'masters'.
