Martin is a small-town farm boy who just wants a nap.

character notes:

Martin was raised as a farmer, but does any small job that needs doing.
He's always ready to work hard-- and play hard if his friends are up to something.
However, when left to his own devices, he spends all of his spare time sleeping.
Sleeps like the dead. Loud noises, uncomfortable surroundings, etc mean nothing.
Has been known to sleep for more than 24 consecutive hours before Anise woke him up.

Martin finds it easy to relate to others and make friends.
He believes the best of others until-- or even after-- proven otherwise.
Meets a lot of people while hanging out at the local tavern and gambling.
He prefers to play card games, and carries a deck everywhere he goes.
When drunk, he is prone to loud songs and clinging to anyone who comes near.

He is a cheerful and positive person-- certainly an optimist.
He doesn't hesistate to show his affection whether in word or deed.
He trusts Anise above all else. Always agrees with her position.

design notes:

Although he's tall, he has terrible posture and constantly slouches.
"Lanky"; fairly thin with long limbs that he doesn't seem to have grown into.
He cultivates a goatee-type beard, and keeps his short hair pulled back in a ponytail.
Generally hairier than the average person, and his body hair is a tad darker than facial hair.
Both ears have two lobe piercings (4 piercings in total), with a small stud or ring in each.
He often wears a stone/rope necklace, which was a gift from Anise.
He dislikes shirts.
