Utembe was raised in the Ebony Wreath, to a family with royal blood. Growing up she felt estranged by her family as she hadn't inherited any of the extravagant and royal traits her family had. She never felt as if she was fully accepted because of it and spent much of her childhood longing for something beyond the life that she had.
Feeling alone in her life, Utembe left the ebony wreath, as she began to feel something calling her. She had always felt connected to water and nature, and spent much of her childhood swimming in the hot springs and brooks of the wreath. She went on a journey spanning several moons to find this voice and to find herself. On this journey, she learned much about herself, and eventually came to appreciate and accept the Lon that she was. When she finally located the voice, who was a a water deity deep within a waterfall, the deity was pleased with the growth she had made and gave her a water blessing- turning her into a capricorn pouflon with water powers.
Since that journey, Utembe has come a long way in accepting who she was and who she is now. She wants to develop and use her water powers to somehow bring good upon those who once felt as she did- whether it be big or small.

Utembe is a gentle, bubbly, loving soul who sees the good in everything. She loves making friends and making others feel good and appreciating the finer things in life. Shes a little sensitive and feels things quite strongly, but always tries to be brave and do things that might be difficult. She can also be withdrawn and anxious, especially when reminded of her family life. She tries not to let the past hold her back though, and takes each day as it comes.
Utembe loves creative ventures, music, dancing, painting and especially crafting with the natural resources she finds while exploring. She loves going on hikes and adventures, especially to water features like the beach, waterfalls and lagoons.

RELATIONSHIPS
Chrysoprase and Utembe are very close friends. Utembe loves visiting their residence and encouraging Chrys so come out of her shell a little, even though the pair can be equally withdrawn at times!
Utembe is very close with Kirra! She enjoys keeping Kirra company while she works in her sketchbook or studio, but also loves having tea or picnics at the coast. Kirra and Utembe get along very well due to their similarities in personalities, and aren't afraid to snuggle up together on the breezy coast nights.
Melody brings much sunshine to Utembes life! Utembe loves Melody's zest for life and honesty. When Utembe needs someone to ground her in her anxious or doubting moments, Melody is certainly the friend to turn to. She also appreciates the fact that Melody seems to be able to pick up any instrument and make it sound beautiful!
Utembe considers herself to be a close friend of Lyra's. She loves spending calming days reading or participating in other pastimes with Lyra, just to enjoy her quiet company. She endeavours to make Lyra comfortable and peacfeul in her company!
Luna's infectious carefree nature really inspires Utembe! Although she'd like to get to know this mysterious pouflon better, she knows to slow down and just appreciate the fun that Luna brings into her life. Luna and Utembe love to have races while swimming!
Utembe is highly entertained by Nymphaeas stories she retells on days out. Nympaea always seems to be getting up to something mysterious and somewhat dark, but she loves her friend and loves how she makes her laugh. Utembe finds herself jokingly scolding Nymph sometimes, but in actual fact she deeply admires her penchant for mischief.
Utembe commends Eponine for her dedication and love for her crew, and loves to come check out the ship before Eponine heads out to sea. On Eponine's off days, Utembe loves scouring the markets of citremetry with her friend and taking time to listen to her stories from off shore lands.
