Rei

Alex is Rei's family friend. They've known each other since they were very young and she's had a crush on him since childhood. Rei loves Alex for his goofy yet caring and patient nature which compliments her mischievous and impulsive personality. She's very protective of Alex and would do anything to protect him since he means the world to her.

Their mothers were friends who believed that one day their son and daughter would be together in the future. Alex's mother was aware of Rei's feelings for her son and told her she'd love to have her as a daughter-in-law and to take care of Alex before tragically passing away soon after. Rei would often visit Alex and his family with food and constantly check up on him since his demeanor changed after losing his mother. She could sense his pain and she did whatever she could to support him.

Rei gets jealous whenever Alex is around other girls and would interfere until one day he questioned why. She panicked and confessed her feelings for him to which he returned her feelings with a kiss. The two have been together since their senior high school years and go on to eventually have their own family including two children named Raiden and Natsumi. Rei fears loneliness, watching Alex grow old and eventually dying while she will remain youthful but he promised her that he will come and find her when the time comes so they can be together again.

Kai is Rei's older brother. Between the two of them, Rei has higher spiritual power making her more skilled with magic, exorcism and communicating with spirits while Kai is better with physical combat. Although they occasionally fight or sass each other, she's quite protective of him and is suspicious of girls who attempt to flirt with her brother.

Rei's eldest brother. She still calls him Tacchan out of habit. Rei was quite clingy to Tatsuya as a child and is still somewhat possessive of him. She admires her brother a lot and is quick to defend him if anyone threatens or insults him.

Jordan is one of Rei's closest friends. They met when they were kids and became close after realising they were both half-demons. Jordan is one of few people Rei told about her spirit medium powers and her crush on Alex. The two often enjoy playing games and watching shows together.

Rei met Tsubaki when she started developing strong spiritual powers in her childhood. He initially appeared to her as a ghostly blue fox and would often play with or keep an eye on her when she was alone. Eventually she discovered he had a human form and learned that he was a kitsune from the Spirit Realm. The two often hang out together eating food, playing games and sometimes he would help her train.

Although stern and scary at times, Rei loves and respects her father. He was never soft on any of his children but he treated them all equally and Rei knows her father only means well when they underwent harsh training. She is thankful for the challenges however since she knows it will help her become a stronger and better person who can protect others.

Rei's mother was always soft on her because she was the baby of the family and only daughter. She spoiled Rei constantly with clothes and food, perhaps how she was raised is the reason for Rei's tsundere personality and love of cooking. Kyoko and Alex's mother had ideas believing Alex and Rei would grow up to marry someday. Rei always blushed and became quiet at the mention of it.

Alex and Rei's future first born son. He was due on December 3 but surprised his parents by arriving 2 days early during a storm. Raiden inherits Rei's stubborn and mischievous personality as well as Alex's optimism and love of comic books.

Alex and Rei's future daughter. She inherits both of her parents playful personality but reflects Alex's cheerfulness more than anything. Rei doesn't wish for her children to carry their family tradition and encourages Natsumi to pursue whatever she loves.

At first, Rei had reason to be cheeky and question Jennifer's intentions because she just wants to protect her big brother. But Rei soon accepts her as Kai's girlfriend and eventually a family member. Rei doesn't mind cooking with her and that's a big compliment since Rei doesn't let just anyone cook with her. She's sure Jennifer will take good care of her big brother and would gladly help her out if needed.

Rei's late mother-in-law and mother's friend whom she was fond of. She was aware of Rei's feelings for her son and seemed to have supported the idea of them being together. Rei was devastated hearing about her passing soon after she had told her and Alex to look after each other. Rei took Elizabeth's words to heart and aims to fulfil her wish (to which she will in the future).

A common friend she met through her brother. They get along well especially when it comes to teasing Kai. They share a common interest in food and clothes and she finds it easy to talk to him.

Not someone she's that fond of. She thought he had a thing for her which was why she kept pushing him away but turns out he was just trying to be nice. Regardless, she's merely acquainted with him through family business.
