Romero is a trick pugilist-- he's incredibly strong and tough as bricks, and depends on viewership (no matter where he's putting on a show, whether it's on a genuine stage or in a seedy back alley) to make his living.

Except his empire is built on lies. Romero uses all sorts of enchantments and potions and spells to stay strong and virile-- if he didn't take anything, he'd look pretty puny... But it's a natural nimbleness that adds flair to his toughness!

This secret goes to the grave with him because he engineered all these ideas himself dammit! He loves the attention and coin that comes from it, more than he ever made when trying to work on conventional alchemy.

Personality

He's quite cocky, in what he feels is justified under all that man-made muscle!
He will always trust his gut feelings over others yelling at him to prove otherwise (and it happens quite a bit that he ends up being wrong, but he chalks it up to a little mistake, ignoring others advice).

Like most other travelling conmen, Romero can be a gadabout, enjoying physical, romantic attention, and showering others in it when he is attracted to a pretty face. Other than constantly trying to make good profit, he is a bit obsessed with 'getting around'... And of course his secret interest in alchemy is indeed a secret-- something he never speaks about, even to someone he may trust (which is practically a nonexistent group).

Trivia

► Romero isn't too old (but he's getting there)... He is deathly afraid of looking frail, and tolerates the white hairs because he assumes those are a side effect rather than real gray hairs
► He really did lose his eye... It was a fight gone wrong at the start of his conning. He really did ask for it though, thinking he was safe
► Death penalty if you ever suggest he wear silver over gold. His gold tooth can't be exchanged out for a silver one, after all!
