Alviss

Alviss is a former slave with ambitions of exploring the galaxy.
- Acts older than she really is as a way of coping with her past and appearing more confident.
- CLINGY. If you express any sort of affection or loyalty to her, you will be her bff forever. Alternatively, if you betray her, she will hold a grudge indefinitely.
- Chatterbox. Not afraid to say what she thinks of people or what's on her mind. Hard to get her to shut up.

Alviss was sold to a wealthy Neimoidian when she was very young. It was unclear on the reasons behind the transaction, other than that the man was interested in collecting a wide assortment of species for his servants, seeing them more as exotic oddities to put on display for to prove his wealth.
Her Master was very interested in things relating to the Jedi and Sith and recognized that Alviss had these abilities, but quickly discovered her connection to the Force was rather weak. He had given her special treatment when he thought that he could train her to be his own personal "Force Hound" of sorts (even though he himself had no abilities), but once it became clear that she could never achieve Jedi or Sith standards of power, he demoted her to regular slave work. Alviss ran away when it became clear that she was just another one of his slaves, and that her value had diminished. She had some ambitions of finding her family but gave up on it after realizing how big the galaxy was, and that they could be anywhere.
While on a transport to Nar Shaddaa, she ran into Corvan Gazer and struck up a friendship with the Mandalorian. Once it was obvious that the girl had nowhere to go and that she’d likely wind up in some deep trouble wandering Nar Shaddaa on her own, Gazer offered to take her in, which she eagerly accepted.
Skillset
- Mature for her age; often mistaken for being a couple years older by how she acts, which she’ll use to her advantage.
- Natural aptitude with technology that flourishes once she gets some training
Unique Abilities
- Force Sensitive, but only just barely. She can sense people's intentions and if they are generally good or bad in nature.
- Ability to withstand low temperatures from her Pantoran biology
Life in Servitude
- Eego Onvi wasn’t the worst master for a slave to have, but he was also the sort who played favorites. Any slave doing well was praised and given special treatment and attention, making it so that the others viewed them with envy. This happened to Alviss when Onvi recognized her Force Sensitivity and tried to fan that into something that he hoped would bloom into a deadly, living weapon. When it became abundantly clear that she couldn’t move things with her mind or influence the actions of his rivals, his disdain for her showed by dropping her down the slave ranks to menial tasks.
Freedom
- Meets Corvan Gazer while on a transport she hopped to take her to Nar Shaddaa. She initially sees him as someone down on his luck who wouldn’t mind her talking to him, then as a means of getting free food. It isn’t until he sticks up for her to fend off a man she had stolen some food from that she thinks maybe she’d like to hang around him even after they arrive at their destination. After Gazer offers to take her into his family, Alviss does her best to try to get along with everyone.
- She butts heads with Kit frequently at first since the two are a year apart and she tries to pull rank and act like the older sibling. The two of them eventually get along as they share a common interest in running around and exploring. Alviss also helps to keep Kit’s sticky fingers to himself when the family is out and about, pickpocketing what he pickpockets and putting it back before he realizes it.
- Missing the usual Pantoran tattoos on her face. Corvan gives her some kiffar ones later so she’s part of clan “Gazer” now.
- Absolutely loves to dress up, especially when it comes to fancy hairstyles and adding ornaments to her braids.
- Steals for survival. Unlike Kit who steals for the thrill and because he wants something no matter if it's valuable or not, Alviss will resort to pilfering in order to get by. Ex. stealing food, clothes, the essentials so she doesn't starve or freeze. She doesn't do it as often now, but if she were ever in a sticky situation, she'd resort to those instincts.
