Kai was the first an only child Baren an Lilac, after he was born something happened to Baren making him unable to have children. Being there son he was next in line to become ruler of mystic swamp lands. One day while he was still a goomy he left home to explore for a bit, while out he ran into a feral east shellos. The shello’s body was unstable somehow an it caused both of them to fuse, since the shellos was feral kai gained full control of there new form, it also meant they couldn't un-fuse. Kai immediately fell in love with his new body an ran home to show his parents what happened. Unlike kai however his parents where disgusted with his new appearance, they viewed fusion an something unnatural an thought all mon’s who fused where freaks. There banished there own son right then an there, saying that he was never allowed to step foot into there kingdom again. Kai was heart broken, his own parents hated him an he was homeless. At that moment he considerd ending everything right there…

He was going to keep living. He wasen’t going to let his parents, or anyone change what he thought of himself. Not matter what, he was going to make his life one worth living. An in that momment he evolved into the goodra/gastrodon he is now. Some time after he found the fusion village he lives in now. His parents still try to get him to come home, but every attempt they make is invalid. Kai has sworn to never go back to an un-happy life, an to protect all fusions that are like him.
