Rae used to be one of the best, the elite, the ACE. Her abilities no weaker than other man except a small few could rival her in Xanthe. However after an battle going wrong, she dies in an explosion. She didn't wish to die however as she had so much to do, so many promise unkept, and didn't even get to live to 30 like she thought she well would despite throwing herself into wars risking her life....
But she was given a chance to live again. She awakens in an unfamiliar body named Rheia and unfamiliar time in the past, in a body of a rather useless overdosed emo teen as the daughter of a slum who survives after attempting to escape life altogether from bullying.
However Rheia turns things around, no longer the depressed and loner she was, Rae decides to change the past in order to create a better future even if it meant exterminating some bugs that got in her way.
Rheia's / the original host's family did not have natural talent to enter the academy. Rather they resort to buying exorbitant underground drugs to help enhance their children's ability. However the original host got addicted to the drugs and the impurities gave harmful side effects such as seizures, blood loss, contractions, dizziness causing her to blackout. Due to her constant blackouts, the academia kicked her out from the pilot and weapon handling class as she is supposed to be 'stable' enough to handle machines of war. (Maybe original host needed rehab but her parents probably too prideful to put her in one )
In the future, these drugs were improved to remove the impurities and called Enhancers. However overdosing still had negative side effects. But human body was much more resilient due to improved technology and Gene X. Gene X was acted as an emulsifier that helped absorb external energy and convert it to usable energy meant to mimic magic summoner's ability to draw out magic from the world around them. Some compatible were embedded with a radioactive chip that offered AI intelligence and superhuman abilities due to genetic mutation.
VR Battle Mech
While in school, Rae finds virtual reality games are rather popular and logs into the original owner's account to play Battle Mechs, a fighting Mecha game. She has a pretty much loser account as the defeat count is very high. But as she plays the game she realizes the controls are similar to actual Mecha controls ( missing many functions though because Rae's life probably had more buttons and used coding ) but laggy (because the future is much faster with information servers) . However since the game doesn't inflict actual pain onto the user and not extremely advance, many students take up gaming. Some advance gamers get recruited into military colleges.
In her past life, the Godfather of Mechas is unusable and only put on display. Her father told her despite it being the oldest and the most flawed Mecha automata, if a pilot could master this automata, they would be able to pilot any mecha. And thus if Rae had the chance she'd definitely pilot this mecha.

- Rhea is a large flightless bird of South American grasslands, resembling a small ostrich, with grayish-brown plumage.
- Rheia means "Earth" in Ancient Greek
- Rae is short form of RACHEL. From the Hebrew name רָחֵל (Rachel) meaning "ewe".
- It can also be used as a feminine form of RAY. Ray is short form of RAYMOND (From the Germanic name Raginmund, composed of the elements ragin "advice" and mund "protector". ) , often used as an independent name. It coincides with an English word meaning "beam of light".

From her memories Xyndia was a well praised elite with swordsmanship but focused on her family's research. However many years after, it was discovered her family's automa prototype of 'Transformers' have been stolen and procured by various enemy kingdoms, becoming a new vessel for summoners to create weapons of destruction.
Due to this knowlege, Rae joins Xyndia's faction in hopes to retrieve the prototypes.
