Eleanor Lí

Introspective, astute, and able to read a room, Eleanor Li is a designer with a penchant for code and numbers. Despite the typical image of the introverted, reclusive techie, however, she instead appears as the paragon of an unwitting beauty: sweet, demure, and embellished by charisma, dressed with looks to kill—that is, if she’d concern herself enough to desire to flay you. Regardless of the fact that she could very well utilize her appearance to conceal any ill intent, Eleanor possesses a short attention span, her distractibility withdrawing her from any current thoughts she may have, and she’d have difficulty finding interest or recalling whatever trifle that had concerned her once before. Due to this, she tends to become quite paranoid, and can be often seen habitually jotting something down, either on paper or some sort of device—the only act that maintains her proficiency in work ethic and responsibility. Nevertheless, Eleanor certainly acts like the stereotype of a computer nerd, being quite introverted and not too keen to stray away from a screen unless it’s required of her, likely to be working on a new project or simply feeding off of the instant gratification that comes with the internet.

Accompanying her academic excellence is an ego, and Eleanor is rather sensitive to any criticisms of herself, being hurt quite easily, if only for a few moments. She’s also awful at healthily expressing her feelings to others, especially negative ones, and simply ignores the issue or cause of her pain, plunging herself into work until she calms. If the other happens to be vexed at her as well, she’ll let them go, saying, “It’s not worth it,” and likely regret it later. With her pride and often mercurial emotions, Eleanor is aware that she can draw others away, but her avoidant and reserved nature often prompts her to break off whatever relationship is in jeopardy before they can do it themselves. Due to this, the girl often misjudges people too early, and tends to push them away before they can know her. In doing so, she is trapped in a cycle that she is unable to break, unable to strive toward improvement—too afraid to have to realize that it is her in the wrong. That being said, her charisma draws people to her at surface level, and she tends to unknowingly take advantage, utilizing their praise and admiration to boost her self esteem.
