Doe recently graduated to become an investigative reporter. This was not her choice career, but it couples well with her interests and goals. She managed to get a transfer and work in the Northern Zones. There, she heavily relied on Anak the Reindeer to show her the ropes and settle down into her new life. The two grew close enough that she once considered him a love interest, but Doe decided it was best that she focuses her attention on a prior commitement before considering entering a relationship.

When she was a fawn, Doe and her father were very close. Mr. Doe was an independant researcher and anthropologist (his own fancy way of saying "adventurer") who would travel in search of various mythical landmarks. In the Northern Zones, he and a young Doe located a defaced temple; after interogating the locals, they realized that several artifacts were missing. The only clues to who the robbers might be were a broken pendant and a logo carved into the icy walls. 

Doe's father was determined to find the missing artifacts. Not knowing who he was dealing with, he decided to leave his daughter in the care of her aunt as a precaution. Doe's father never returned.

This turn of event made Doe's aunt sour about adventuring and insisted that her niece stays back. Unable to travel, Doe poured her energy into literary research: she would research the Northern Zones, their culture, who the temple was originally built for, all the while keeping an eye on the news to see if she could ever locate or associate who the mysterious logo belonged to. This lead her to enlist as a student into investigative journalism and eventually graduate and finally make her way back to her starting point: the temple.

After years of being locked away, Doe has become compliant, quiet and cautious. This behavior dominates over a burning sense of justice and surprising level of perseverance. She is book-smart and goal-oriented. However, Doe has also developped workaholicism from her obsession to carry out her father's work. Whether at work or among friends, Doe finds her worth in her ability to serve and produce a collective outcome. 

Because of her submissive and quiet nature, Doe is capable is befriending anyone who wants her. This makes it hard for her to guard her boundaries and wart off toxic relationships.

During her adventures, Doe meet Pijee the Canadian Lynx, who is, in fact, none other than the reincarnation of the original inhabitant of the temple in the Northern Zones: Pijee the Solstice Spirit. This current appearance of the spirit is both physically and mentally 8 years old and, as such, Doe has taken her under her wing as a younger sister of sorts. Puck can be clueless and energetic, as well as stubborn at times, which can cause Doe to become irritated. However, the girl is very affectionate and aware of her dependance on Doe for guidance and therefore tries to make her guardianship easier for Doe.
