Luminence

Lumi is a born alicorn to earth pony parents. She's grown up in hiding in an all earth pony village. She's disguised herself as a unicorn all these years while living within this community that harbors resentment towards the other 2 races. She eventually gets found out and begins studies with Princess Luna, on the agreement that she'll try it out for 1 year and if she doesn't want to continue she can go back into hiding and they'll never bother her again.

She eventually finds, despite having no magic knowledge or flying skills, that something that she has that *everypony* has... is Music.
