Nora was born in Iki Town in Alola. She was the 5th of five children of Vivace Capella and Demi Capella. Life was not easy for the family, Vivace and Demi were barely out of school when they decided to get married and start a family. They were not prepared for the 5 kids that came in quick succession and had to leave them alone for the most part in order to earn money for the suddenly large family. As the unmistakable runt of the pack, Nora often found herself on the short end of the stick. While her parents tried the best they could to give them the best life they could, some things simply had to be reused or ignored. Nora constantly got hand-me-downs from her older sister and older brothers and was generally ignored or bullied by them as well. When her parents realized this they tried to put a stop to it but by then it was too late and Nora already gained a deep resentment for her siblings.
It was this resentment that actually sparked her love of battling both on her own and with Pokémon. When her elder siblings kept beating her in their wrestling matches she had gone out of her way to bug a classmate who knew Boxing into teaching her the basics so that she could kick her siblings’ asses, literally. When they kept saying that they would be the next Pokémon master, she betted against them and studied harder in school so that she could become a better trainer than them. Though she was being overly petty about the whole situation and initially started doing it to spite them, she soon gained an appreciation and love for these things and started doing it on her own terms.
When she was 15, she left home in order to start her Pokemon Journey. Accompanied by a Jangmo-o she caught a few years prior, she went off and did the Island Trial Challenges. Slowly growing as a Dragon-Type trainer, she managed to beat it within a year but was left unsatisfied. All the Pokemon Battles she saw came from other regions with high-intensity gym battles and league conferences. Deciding she wanted to partake in a Gym Challenge like that one, she left Alola and went to Galar, where she continues to battle and get stronger every day.
