Ro'ark (full title Ro'ark, Son of Gorgo) is the half-human, half-demon son to Gorgo, the God of Fire. Unsurprisingly remarked by his hot temper—much like his father and the God he follows—Ro'ark's wish upon winning Tahlor is to usurp his father's powers, and become the new Gorgo. While he's been trying for centuries, the 100th time is surely the charm.

About

Being a demidemon and a demigod has, to his chagrin, earned him the title of Gorgo's runt—or at least that's what he attributes it to, disbelieving that his impulsiveness and tendency to think before he acts has resulted in his banishment from Gorgo's palace ("I mean, come on, it was only one village that I burned out of rage!"). He could have earned his place back by biding his time, but Ro'ark's tendency to impress others by going on crusades and conquests hasn't earned Gorgo's approval. Once the most promising son of Gorgo, his stubbornness to prove himself his own way has rendered him extremely dislikeable by the rest of Gorgo's sons, now more known for his fire tricks in Ignis' streets by human audiences.

Still, just because he failed to earn Gorgo's approval, it doesn't mean that he stopped trying. Ro'ark is Tahlos' most famous contender yet, known for competing in it for the last good part of the millenium. Ro'ark's pretty smug about the songs and tales the bards have been singing about him for centuries, but he's adamant on winning Tahlor, having come extremely close to it for the past few events. Now enrolled in Tahlor's 100th roll, Ro'ark is determined to win the title and take his father's throne.

Little did he know that Gorgo had always watched over his youngest son.

Son of Gorgo
Gorgo is the demon God of Fire, as well as the honorary God of Earth, War, and Destruction. The demon who holds this title is currently Omun; "Gorgo" is therefore akin to a title. Ro'ark is the son of Omun; being a half-demon grants him his powers. Ro'ark has the ability to call forth demons, which willingly obey him as he is a direct descendant of Omun, as well as wield fire. Ro'ark usually calls upon the demon Calvaria, which takes the form of a large, fiery skull made of earth.

Personality

Ro'ark is hotheaded, thick-skulled and stubborn, relying more on his instincts rather than logic. He listens to nobody else but himself, and tends to dismiss others' advice before realising (often too late) that it was given for his own good. He jumps to getting his hands dirty instead of thinking things through, which has lead him to many downfalls—yet it seems as if he has yet to learn from this. He's also quite a sore loser, which makes him lose out on genuine criticism and concerns.

Despite his tendency to go on outrageous conquests, Ro'ark prefers not to be needlessly cruel. He attributes this to his human side, but he's remarkably quite sympathetic. He'd rather not be seen this way so he puts on the "pity-you", toughguy front. He'll secretly look out for others he cares for, but prefers not to be seen as a kind person. He's also quite showoff-y, which contributes to his asshole persona more than anything.

Appearance

Ro'ark has a medium complexion, and wears red pants and jacket akin to latex material. Bears an overgrown, fiery buzzcut, with one strand kept at a long length at the back. He has two black horns. Wears a black undershirt, gloves and knee boots, as well as various accessories. Wears a collar bearing a jewel, which matches the icy colour of his eyes. Has an extremely lean and narrow build, and carries himself with confidence (if not arrogance). Bears tattoos that is stylistic to Ignis.

Tahlor

Tahlor is a competition held in Sosun, a world governed by demon gods, in which various races of humans and demons exist. It is a publicly acclaimed event that runs for six months, spanning across every corner of Sosun, as a part to celebrate Sosun's god and god of all demons, Beherit. Anyone is legible regardless of race, gender, age, culture or god, with the only exception that Demon Gods are not allowed to partake. Tahlor's objective is simple—every decade, Beherit will hide her talon (claw) somewhere in the vast expanse of Sosun. The first to find (or the first to touch) Tahlor would be crowned the champion, and be granted any wish the champion has. The only wishes not permitted are 1.) overthrowing Beherit as the God of Demons, 2.) dissolving the structure of the demon gods, and 3.) destruction of all living things. This leaves a vast array of possible wishes—riches beyond imagination, a prolonged life, the healing of any ailment or disease... even becoming a god. 

Ro'ark's wish, for many centuries, is to replace his father Omun as Gorgo, God of Fire. While he has come extremely close to winning, he is usually failed by his precariousness and tendency to overlook details. In Tahlor's 100th year, circumstances has lead him (much to his annoyance) to team up with broody swordsman Fido and merchant with a dubious secret, Ethel. With such high stakes, and the knowledge that there could only be one winner, at least Ro'ark has a supplement of eyes and brains for the time being.

Trivia

• Ro'ark insists on keeping up with the latest fashion. Many bards have trouble keeping up with him and getting his history down because he tends to change his appearance drastically throughout the decades.
• Can wield fire with ease. He can choose whether it inflicts damage or not.
  
• A vegetarian. His favourite food is eating clean, raw turnips.
