In Tiorlanth, faith correlates directly with the natural predisposition of every believer. Depending on whether it concerns a Carnivore (meat eater) or a Herbivore (plant eater), the very essence of a deity can change to the contrary. To that effect, both religious orientations refer to their own religious works: the Herbi Scriptures and the Carni Scriptures. The authors of these texts remain unknown to this day.
