I love him he deserves everything wonderful in the world, seriously the story for this guy is INSANE [and I mean that in the best way] it's so detailed I live for it!!

Ok, so, not gonna lie, this character called my attention MASSIVELY? I might not be the queen of wording right now because it's almost 3 AM but I gotta comment

Like, I was just gonna take a gander at your page in case you had your commissions open, but then I decided to look at your characters and honestly? I would die for Gray. Hands down he's the most man ever

I REALLY, REALLY like how unique his story is! He's really interesting and well-developed, and plays with a lot of common tropes to build a really good character that doesn't fit any archetype I've seen before. I've read both the main page and the post-mortem page. To start on the basics, I just love how Gray, being a pretty normal-looking, masculine and not super young or outstandingly pretty guy, is actively and strongly characterized as very openly emotional. I feel like that's something that's really missing in most grimdark stories like this, and the idea that he can't hold his emotions back, that they will find a way through and that's okay, that he cares a lot and could be a really good dad, but is also "soft" is just so good for this genre.

Like, he's friendly and cheery by nature! That's such a breath of fresh air from all the horror jerkass guys! And it makes what he goes through even more heartbreaking, especially knowing that it starts to dim this bright demeanour and make him worried and exhausted. It's perfectly understandable, and there's something comforting about knowing he's still a kind person underneath that, but it's also extremely sad imagining the contrast.

I do kind of respect how you wrote down what Dr. Trousers did to him and didn't shy out on the details, for someone who's already scared of doctors, just knowing the kind of torture he went through makes it very easy to imagine that that would turn what was once an irrational fear into pure terror. I feel like in stories like this, you don't often see a lot of protagonists who are direct victims of the bad guy, but the idea of him gaining a sense of righteousness and of wanting to save other people from going through what he went through makes Gray extremely sympathetic and easily makes me root for him.

And the kind of manipulation that Dr. Trousers is implied to have put him through is extremely icky, you can tell that this guy totally abused his position as a supposedly trustworthy doctor before he ever laid his hands on him. The thing with him making Gray take a medication that he doesn't need, which then has the very realistic effect of sending him into a withdrawal when he goes off it, struck me as so fucked up.

The Lazarus syndrome thing is cool, too! I feel like most other writers would have made him some flavour of actual undead, but the fact that you used a real medical ocurrence and seem to refer to him as if he were undead almost just symbolically calls my attention.

I also find it really cool how he's just a plumber who got unlucky in a job. Like, you could meet some plumber who had a work accident at any time in real life! He was just like any guy, with a very rich life and a lot of small details that make him a person, but ultimately not anyone special, until some twisted guy decided to play surgeon

TLDR; Cool character! I can see that this seems to be planned as a game, so I'm REALLY excited to see it become a thing if that's so
