Sneak Attack

Skilled at mimicry and dramatics, you gain the following benefits: Increase your Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20. You have advantage on Charisma (Deception) and Charisma (Performance) checks when trying to pass yourself off as a different person. You can mimic the speech of another person or the sounds made by other creatures. You must have heard the person speaking. or heard the creature make the sound, for at least 1 minute. A successful Wisdom (Insight) check contested by your Charisma (Deception) check allows a listener to determine that the effect is faked.

Secret Theif Communication
During your rogue training you learned thieves' cant, a secret mix of dialect, jargon, and code that allows you to hide messages in seemingly normal conversation. Only another creature that knows thieves' cant understands such messages. lt takes four times longer to convey such a message than it does to speak the same idea plainly. In addition, you understand a set of secret signs and symbols used to convey short, simple messages, such as whether an area is dangerous or the territory of a thieves' guild, whether loot is nearby, or whether the people in an area are easy marks or will provide a safe house for thieves on the run.

Personality

Deceptive, ambitious, and ever-graceful, Seraphina wants to get rich or die trying. She spies and kills for nobles and her #1 goal in life is to get rich so she can live like a noble herself. She's a very good liar, skilled at pretending to be someone (or something) else, and blends into the shadows with ease.

Ideals

Phina is primarily motivated by money, but she still cares about her friends. But mostly money. She believes everything in the world is hers for the taking.

Bonds

Phina's parents were super-evil and basically the typical Drow the way you're apparently supposed to play them. She decided that wasn't her style and she would rather live a luxurious life. The Novius name is one she made up - she hopes that one day, Novius will become a legitimate noble family.

Flaws

Her fatal flaw is that she often forgets plans that have been made - or, even if she does remember them, she often ignores them for whatever action suits her fancy at the time. If there's no treasure or gold involved in a dungeon, she throws a fit, and she hates to get her elegant clothing dirty.

Memorable Moments
  • Stealthily poisoning a cup of tea, no longer having a use for said tea, and then pouring it out the window
  • Convincing a dragon that there was a lady dragon who wanted to mate with him and getting him to fly away from his treasure and eventually end up with blue balls
  • Pretending to be a zombie by smearing herself with flesh and going AAGGHHH but it actually worked thanks to her Actor feat
  • Stabbing a ghoul through the head with a crit and then flinging it across the room (the DM encouraged us to act out our crits)
  • Blinding a Spectator (aka shitty Beholder) by shoving her Dancing Lights cantrip in all of its eyes
  • Physically salivating over the treasure she earned
Current Adventure

Phina has recently agreed to team up with a handful of fellow adventurers to steal from corrupt nobles in the large town of [lol lemme ask my DM]. She hopes that this new arrangement will help her take down potential opponents and build up her own pile of riches.

Notes

Phina was my first-ever DND character and has a special place in my heart for that reason! She unabashedly wants it all, and part of me admires her for it. <3
