The Narrator
JTgxZzP.pngThe trek has been long and hard through the dense vegetation of the Gladekeeper’s domain. Sornieth has nothing like it, anywhere else across it’s surface. But you were prepared. Food, water, maybe a weapon to cut through the undergrowth. Or maybe your claws and teeth are enough to do the trick.

But you almost missed it. Or maybe you didn’t. A dark patch, a hole in what seemed to be a wall of leaves and branches. Did you come looking for it or was it pure luck you stumbled upon it. A chance encounter, or maybe you had heard the stories.
You weren’t entirely sure what it was until you approached and slowly, seemingly apparating from the shadows within a person walked out. As they drew near they seemed to grow, or maybe it was you that shrunk. They stopped just before you, towering tall above.

“My my, what is this. A young soul stranded in the woods.” You are not sure where the voice is coming from. The face is reminiscent of a skull and the eyes completely hidden from your view.

A laugh echoes through the forest. It sounds almost like chimes but it feels eerie. Is that a cold shiver that run up your spine or fear installing itself in your mind.

“Fear not child, I bear no ill intent.” They shush. They turned sideways, indicating the entrance with a slow, elegant movement. “If it is entry that you seek, you may have it. However,” Their head turned towards you again. “This is a place of foul temptation and unrest. There are creatures who will seek to harm you, others will be more… benevolent.” There was the laughter again. “It is not a place for the faint of heart nor mind.”

The tall creature bowed before you, almost exaggeratedly. They stood again quickly before looking you over. “It is your choice, where will your story lead you?”

They turned back and walked into the darkness, seemingly swallowed by the shadows.

Now that you know what you are getting into, what will you do?
