One step below actual royalty, the Elfaines are a prestigious noble family, with centuries of history and dozens upon dozens of accomplished spellcasters under their collective belt. Riding high on their successes and with everyone in the region kowtowing to them, it seems like the family is the perfect powerhouse. However, underneath the manicured lawns and the pristine mansion of the family grounds lurks the secret of the family's success...

In the current generation, Elurien is the sheltered, pampered golden child of the family, but they're left floundering when they are suddenly exiled from the family mansion and shipped off to a distant town far away from any Elfaine influence. They're have a near genius-level intellect, but due to their lack of life experience it rarely shows through. They also have a ditzy disposition and come off as almost flippant when faced with a serious situation — they still have a "mother will fix it" mindset that has yet to be broken.
