Summary

Don't let his messy fur and tough appearance fool you - Clement might look like a fierce tiger, but he's one made of paper. Soft-hearted and gentle, Clement is actually somewhat of a pushover who always tries to see the best in everyone. This doesn't always work out, of course. Others often take advantage of his kindness, and his former partner and the mother of his children, Lauren, ultimately proved to be a thoroughly negative person, even after years of efforts on Clement's part to try and see her betterment. Despite all she put him through and even after leaving her, though, he doesn't really resent her, and sincerely hopes she's able to become a better person in the future. Although they no longer have contact with one another, a small part of him still loves her, just as he loves their children.

Despite all the hardships he's experienced at the hands of being too soft for his own good, Clement ultimately still believes that it's better to be kind and soft than cold and hard, a message he tries to convey through the children's books he writes. The world can be cruel and painful at times, but we have the ability to make it better.

Trivia

  • Clement is bi, though he thought he was straight until he was well into his twenties.
  • Clement, like his daughter, is lactose intolerant. He’s not as bad about it as she is, but he maaaay have a less than healthy relationship with mozzarella sticks. Must run in the family.
