"Let us bide our time. If we are patient, we will eventually reap what is ours."

Fido

Fido is the follower of Beelzebul, God of Spirit, and the last remaining member of the Torjyre clan, formerly known for the ability to wield demon swords. Quiet, steady-footed and often hidden away in the shadows, Fido has been biding his time to avenge the genocide of his clan, swearing bloodbath upon those responsible. Fido's wish upon winning Tahlor is to bring upon unbearable suffering to the men who wiped out his clan and bring justice to his family. He wields a demon sword by the name Fabio.

About

Followers of Beelzebul, unlike other religions, live as nomad clans rather than residing within a nation. The Torjyre clan was famous for its demon swordwielders, and was once a powerful clan of demon tamers who taught other clans to wield demonic weapons of their own. While the clan was never known for any sort of violence besides what is necessary, the militants of the nation Ignis—lead by Gorgo, the God of Fire—grew fearful of Torjyre's power, and wiped every single one of the Torjyre name clean. Fido, then shy of his twelfth birthday, had barely escaped with the cost of losing an arm. Ever since then, Fido has been fueled by hatred of Ignis and its millitants, ceasing his prayers to Gorgo, believing the latter encouraged the massacre.

Fido lives in the shadows, both to avoid revealing himself as a surviving member of the Torjyre clan, as well as a general disconnection to others. Having brought himself up from a young age, Fido trusts nobody else but himself, accepting that the world would always be cruel. As a result, Fido's friends only consist of merchants he relies on for food. He does not allow himself the pleasure and happiness of a company, believing that he'd lose them in the end, just as he lost his family without a reason he could not quite understand.

Fabio
The Torjyre clan is famed for its demon swordsmanship, and taught its children this craft at a young age. Fido, the son of the Torjyre clan head, was considered to be a "late bloomer", despite excelling in everything. The first time Fido summoned a demon sword was the fateful night of his clan's massacre, summoned by the massive amounts of blood he spilled at the loss of his arm while trying to fight Ignis perpetrators—by comparison, most demon swords are summoned by small amounts, like a fingerprick. Having accidentally—or fatefully—summoned such a powerful sword, Fido has wielded it ever since, taming it to become its master.

Fabio is a demon of Beelzebul, able to contort its body into its "real" form, as it world appear in the demon world, Ferno. While powerful, its personality is often disagreeble, often annoying Fido by being too chatty or having unsolicited opinions of its master. While Fido is constantly annoyed by it, Fido keeps up—perhaps because Fabio is the only friend he has.

Personality

Fido is quiet, beyond speaking what is necessary; however, Fido is blunt and confrontational, speaking his mind when his situation calls for it. While intelligent above moderation, Fido is often too stubborn to listen to criticisms of his solitary lifestyle, and quickly becomes angry whenever anyone points it out. Deep down, he longs for company, but loathes the gut-wrenching feeling of that the thought that one day, a person he finds a friend in may disappear without explanation. He therefore leaves a place whenever he finds himself comfortably settling in it, leaving first before others can leave him.

When in a good mood, Fido is good-humoured—something he considered to be a remnant of his childhood self, before he replaced it with a cold front. While he has no difficulties putting up a toughguy persona, he often wishes than he could be carefree, devoid of intense hatred to those he held responsible for the massacre of his clan.

Appearance

Fido has a rosy, pale complexion. What he lacks in height he makes it up in agility, strength and athleticism, often able to travel through a region without being remarked or seen. He has dark hair imbued with turquoise and, unique to his clan, has heterochromia, with red and green eyes. His right arm is missing from the elbow, and both are gloved. Has lean, defined arms.

He wears a cape that covers his right arm, a sleeveless shirt, shorts, knee-high socks as well as sandals. His chain of balls and bracelet are stored blood in order to give Fabio stronger power. Fido usually looks serious, though his short height often requires him to look up.

Tahlor

Tahlor is a competition held in Sosun, a world governed by demon gods, in which various races of humans and demons exist. It is a publicly acclaimed event that runs for six months, spanning across every corner of Sosun, as a part to celebrate Sosun's god and god of all demons, Beherit. Anyone is legible regardless of race, gender, age, culture or god, with the only exception that Demon Gods are not allowed to partake. Tahlor's objective is simple—every decade, Beherit will hide her talon (claw) somewhere in the vast expanse of Sosun. The first to find (or the first to touch) Tahlor would be crowned the champion, and be granted any wish the champion has. The only wishes not permitted are 1.) overthrowing Beherit as the God of Demons, 2.) dissolving the structure of the demon gods, and 3.) destruction of all living things. This leaves a vast array of possible wishes—riches beyond imagination, a prolonged life, the healing of any ailment or disease... even becoming a god.

Fido's wish upon winning Tahlor is to bring great suffering to those responsible for the massacre of his family. With the Ignis millitants having kept largely quiet about the event, Fido could not remember the faces of his perpretrators. He claims that the day that this wish is granted, he will finally find peace—while Fabio warns him that Beherit granting his wish would not bring him the closure he desperately wants, Fido does not listen to him. In Tahlor's 100th year, circumstances has lead him to team up with thick-skulled Ro'ark and merchant with a dubious secret, Ethel. With such high stakes, and the knowledge that there could only be one winner, Fido wonders how the hell he'll cope being in a team while he's been alone for such a long time.

Relationships

Fabio
Fido finds Fabio annoying, due to the latter's tendency to talk endlessly. That being said, Fido is a great master of the demon sword, and utilises the demon's powers flawlessly. While Fabio has accepted Fido as its master, it will sometimes disobey, purely due to its mischevious behaviour.

Ro'ark, Son of Gorgo
It's rather obvious that Fido despises Ro'ark. Not only does Fido inherently dislikes Ignis natives and discredits Gorgo, Ro'ark's personality is despisable, finding the other far too loud and far too annoying. The two can hardly co-operate, quibbling with each other about every decision the team should make. While the two are powerful beyond measure when they manage to collaborate, Fido's annoyance of the other overcomes the acknowledgement that the two work very well together in combat.

Trivia

  • Has a... vendetta against natives of Ignis. He refuses to acknowledge Ignis' god, Gorgo.
  • Can climb and get on top of things extremely easily

Meta/Design

  • The cloud pattern is on his cape, his shirt pocket, and the lanyard of his sword.
