Black Agate

i sob because i've been wanting this character for a long time and he finally has a visual reference aaaaaa !!

This gem used to be a part of Homeworld as a manager/teacher of sorts, having to help the newly formed gems on their feet and fitting into their roles in society. He had seen many a Ruby entering their squadrons, and Pearls with their masters, and so on. But he found himself in a lull after how many years just sorting through fellow gems, briefing them and using his baton to call their attention. He mulled over the scandals of rebellious individuals, wondering if it was worth it to be punished so severely for a short moment of freedom. Before long, Black Agate found himself realising that he too wanted a taste of it, but he was too afraid to step out of his boundaries. That was until the mission of Earth, where he was assigned to help with the organising there. Entering this strange new planet made him all the more entranced by the idea of escaping his job.

Scenario 1: When the Corrupting Light occurred, there was a massive stampede of fleeing gems back to their spaceships. In the chaos, Black Agate was trampled on and poofed back into his gem state, which was buried under the soil indirectly by being further stepped on. This resulted in Black Agate being able to dodge the corruption, so when he woke up, he found himself left behind by all the other gems, and was stranded on Earth. But, well, he found himself enjoying this newfound freedom more than he expected.

Scenario 2: After the events of the Corrupting Light and the abandoning the mission on Earth, Black Agate decides that he no longer wants to serve Homeward and flees.

Personality Blurb: As an individual best suited in the courts, Agate is a polite but assertive gem when it comes to words and authority. For the longest time, his beliefs in Homeworld have been unshakable, but centuries of toil and the same old routine had chipped his morale. These cracks were filled with a burning desire for some kind of higher purpose. This resulted in making Agate rather brash in trying to learn more about the world around him, but at the same time has the ability to quickly compose himself. On Earth, he had to stop himself many times from jumping into the grass, the flowers, the trees -- organic life that was so foreign and fascinating. (This ended up being an extension of the bio lol I need to fix this later)

Abilities: Being born from the first era of Homeworld, Agate has all the common abilities that gems possess: shapeshifting, changing his gravity, and so on. Because of his role though, he is only trained in self-defence, and is not confident to launch himself into combat.
